Really interesting insights into the corporate mentality, we need more discussions like this and to talk about ways of changing this mentality. In the future people will look back at the corporations of our time as the unethical ruthless wealth concentrating monstrosities that they are!

You're so right, and I don't think that day is too far away, public opinion is moving so fast. Glad you enjoyed the talk and thank you for engaging, Gareth

Its great to share these kinds of talks with all of us, even outside of Google. Thanks for that! I think that even if many things that are said sound obvious, or known, nothing has changed so it is still good to say it at loud again, its a first step!

Thanks for your feedback; I agree nothing much has changed yet, but I am more hopeful as every day goes by now - public opinion against the worst excesses of corporatism is moving fast, Gareth

The speaker only elaborated the problems in corporate working which is obvious to all, but there are no solutions addressed by him. Also my question to him is, has he really practiced while in corporate world what he is preaching, was it successful? My take is, in the corporate world nothing is going to change, hence employees has to have great gravitas.

The solution is owning ones sphere responsibly and therefore communism, (the book is better than any movie made).

Hi Ravi - I accept your feedback and think in hindsight I could have been a little more specific within the 30 minutes I had to give my talk. My aim in the talk was to spark interest in what i describe as CTSD - Corporate Traumatic Stress Disorder, and to get corporate citizens enquiring more into what is happening to them psychologically. In my first book "Corporate Emotional Intelligence; Being Human in a Corporate World" I outline the 4 pillars of CEQ which you might find helpful. As to your second question, I have indeed managed many organisations, as CFO, CEO and Chairman to be both hugely profitable and highly ethical in the way people are developed and treated. In my new book "And the Leader Is.........Transforming Cultures with CEQ" I give specific personal evidence from 6 organisations I've directly impacted as a leader. It's out on May 13th. Thanks for engaging, Gareth
