Makes me think about how much we've normalized the use of glasses. They're a tool. On the other end of definitions, this is an interesting video about whether or not we are /all/ cyborgs because the word's original definition meant, like, "a person who uses tools to extend self-regulatory control of the body and helps you adapt to new environments" which can really describe most people in our current technological climate. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqSXlWl3ntGJhrM

I like your videos. I used to practice physical therapy but I never encountered assistive devices like you've shown. And the perspective you give, is important.

This was really insightful Dan, thanks for making this video! I have disabilities myself, but two of them are invisible - except while in the school environment and people call me out for being 'lazy' for using a laptop instead of handwriting, even though I'm dysgraphic.

I had a discussion with my mom about me disregarding my humanity bc I socialize using my phone and computer, and I argued that they’re just tools created by humans to facilitate things (like long distance relationships/communication) and if you said using a computer wasn’t human, then why using parchment and ink more human?
