You talk very heavy. It was refreshing listening to so many common points i have heard several times throughout my childhood from the elders, we are refugees due to islam too, we used to live in tauru, a place in nuh, which is a notoriously famous place for a very radical stream of islam since independence. Just last year alot of stuff happened there, anyway we left that place a year after i was born. And there are only the most poverty ridden hindus left there now.

Wow, superb interview. Very good well thought out questions, as well as answers. Very informative. I am amazed at the similarity between Judaism and Hinduism. The encouragement of different viewpoints and ideas, discussions and debate is something so similar between the two. How wrong we are when we use the term "Abrahamic religions", categorising Judaism which is such an open religion, with Islam and Christianity which are both such closed claustrophobic religions. Also so similar are Palestine and Pakistan. Palestine & its people is obsessed with destruction of Israel and Jews, and Pakistan & its people is obsessed with destruction of India and Hindus.

What would have been better i think is to insert commonalities you see in India among Hindus and Jews tbh. A lot of the way she expressed judaisism (not just a religion but a culture, arguing with one another, many different sects and living with each other) is exactly the Hindu story. This would have been interesting to explore

People need to understand how Judaism differs from Chritianity and Islam in terms of proselytising (conversion). They've never wanted to force their views on others unlike the dawah guys or the soul saving christians. People should consider the other two religions as heresies of Judaism anyway. They are productive and harmonius people who want to live in peace which is why we as Indians have historically got along well. Right now we face similar challenges to Israel. The red-green alliance acts, thinks & talks about kashmir like it does about palestine. Our further balkanization and ofc, Israel's destruction is the agenda. Eric Weinstein talked about how Hindus are going to be targeted similarly to jews now both being tagged as "model minorities" in the west. Listen to James Lindsay's speech in European parliament.

9:45 a good place to start You'd realise judaism and therefore she is inherently against Hinduism, ao any friendly-ish atuff between today's israel and india is a geopolitical coincidence in history, much like to 2 people persecuted by the same force but don't have anymore similarlity among them other than that. I felt that any value listening to this discussion is about her views of islam. Other than that not so much.

Rebecca seems like a staunch atheist and I don't believe she defines judaism well, rather she defines it through her personal atheistic worldview. It seems to me that judaism does seek a continuous connection to God.

It's fluid. Traditional Judaism sees the unfolding of history as the way G-d makes divine Will known; so the generation that saw the H***c***t had a very high percentage of atheist Jews. (Who wants to believe in a G-d that let a genocide occur?). For this reason 90% of Israeli Jews were atheists in 1948. The ultra religious have very big families, so the percentage of religious Jews in Israel is bigger today (7 to 10 kids in religious families compared to 3 to 5 kids in atheist/agnostic families). The connection to the Jewish community matters more than a connection to G-d, & a religious Jews would say both are important on a personal level. I'm not observant nor educated in Judaic scholarship, so I can't give details, but a famous rabbi in Ukraine in the 1880s told a neighbor that he hadn't seen him in the synagogue, & the neighbor said, "I don't come because I don't believe in G-d.". The rabbi answered; "The G-d you don't believe in is the G-d I don't believe in, so come to shul." (Yiddish for synagogue) It's both a joke & a teaching story.

As someone who lives in the west and Europe even before I turned 18 I can spot out a few false statements about the west was made by Rebecca. In the west, if you have a baby, You don't need your relatives and everyone lives around you to take care of this baby. Because in the west and Europe the government provide you with a monthly payments for each baby you have, free health insurance, free education, free therapy sessions and even free kind garden. Also, in the west all citizens are responsible to provide help for kids by LAW You don't need the mercy of other humans in the west. Because you have laws to protect you and this is what you need in the middle east. What if your relatives and "all the people who lives around you decided to stop caring about you and your kid" Then what? This is why the west is a law based society NOT trialist society as middle eastern. .Rebecca or any middle eastern who never live in the west for a few years, will never understand this. Please don't' say stuff about the west and its progress system based on no evidence and no actually intellectual argument. Wishful thinking and how do you feel about it is not an academic paper and you can't say it as truth.

@@MiddleeastwitnessRojeh Laws on paper don't protect anyone's life or right, they can be used to deliver justice in case some injustice has already happened. It's the community strength that can protect it's members. Just look at UK, illegal immigrants are allowed to take over homes of elderly, unproductive citizens as the corporates need to keep running their factories. All those laws of equality will be discarded now.

I live in the west, in Germany to be precise. And I agree with Rebecca's statement. It is true that German mothers get a lot of financial support from the system. But they don't get emotional and human support in raising their children. So they end up being exhausted, overburdened and resent motherhood. Being dependent on other's help, is just natural for humans as we are social animals. And ideally this help comes out of love. For this to happen you need to cultivate a somewhat collective attitude. With our current individualistic/selfish attitude we feel helping others directly is a burden. We feel this goes against our own interest. So we give part of our income as tax to the welfare system and feel very social. Isn't this what is happening right now in the west?

The best interview would involve some challenge from the host even if you're only playing devil's advocate. For example she said Christianity is fake but Judaism might not be. That her position from her perspective why not see there is many different ways to see things. That's why in jews they argue about it, they keep digging, keep asking, keep doubts, and then after the arguments they become friends. You don't have to agree with it, but that's how she see it.
