Have you ever found that sweet spot of aero and power? 🚴💨📈

The sweet spot is drafting behind a big person (says a road-cyclist, not doing TTs) :D

So my watt numbers are 310 for 90 km with a total average speed of 45km/h and Sam Long with the same bike and wheels, he averaged 350 at 45km/h. and lionel sanders did 308 watts in kona. and sanders was in the wind tunnel just like me a short time ago. I was also in the wind tunnel. Post my link from KZbin so you can see me driving.

Okay, I can't post my KZbin link to you because you may have set it that way. I'll send my link to your message

Lionel said in one of his videos he doesn't even look at W/kg anymore, W/CdA is the new thing. Very curious how age groupers could measure and improve accessibly.

Hi guys to go full aero I feel like I need to adjust my saddle height mid-race ❤❤❤❤❤
@liammaybank927521 сағат бұрын
It is a very limiting assumption that lower at the front = lower CdA. There are many that this is not true for and they can be producing road bike power in their lowest CdA position. Similarly for crank length, many are going shorter now but it's only necessary for some and even counter-productive for others

Couldn't agree more. I was going to go into this, but didn't want to flip around and confuse everyone. Yes, actually going up in height, can allow you to relax and drop through the scapula area and get lower - and more importantly, more sustainable

Do triathletes really pee on their bikes??

Nice video! More aero is always faster, ceteris paribus, but any economist could tell you ceteris paribus is a myth. It's important to be aware of the trade-offs that come with improving one thing.

What is a "unit of air resistance"?
@markthrelfall357755 минут бұрын
It's not a real thing - I was just using it as a way of explaining how the resistance increases with speed (almost exponentially - but not exactly)

You guys should talk to George fox

is waaaaaaaaaay easier than all of this. Ride on the position you are comfortable, this is the fastest position for you!

On road bike, comfort and power triumphs aero. Yes being aero is important but not at the expense of power and comfort. In a race or fast bunch rides, you are either in a pace line or draft hence Aero dosent matter especially when you are so uncomfortable and fatigue that you cannot respond to attacks/surges get dropped. Even in a break away, no point being aero if you can’t hold your power.
