One of your best tones in a while. Absolutely monster. Mainly due to the 2C+ but I really dig the Savage Drive!

Hands down one of the best ODs for this type of playing. I’ve used one for a few years and it’s the only pedal on my board that always stays and never gets changed. This is a tone monster.

Awesome video, crunchy evil Ola tone! Nice work! Love my savage drive! Love to dime the tight control, no grit, and run way more amp gain and tweak up amp presence. You really need to push the preamp gain and adjust highs when you use only the tight control because of how much it dries the signal out! Sounds ungodly through my engl se670 el34!

I have an EVH 5150 III EL34 and tried a few boosts/overdrives which really did nothing so I returned them. I ended up getting a TC Electronic Spark clean boost (switch on Clean, Gain all the way down, Volume all the way up) which I always leave on and it boosts all 3 channels beautifully, it doesn’t color my tone and the clean channel stays super clean, it just feels bigger/fuller and has much higher Volume (dB) on all of the channels which makes it one of my favorite pedals ever.

I got one of the newest versions of the Savage Drive just recently, that along with the Carnage Booster(I have the Limited Burger Booster version, with Bob from Bob's Burgers :D) make my dropped guitars sound so great, even through amps that sound handle such. Wait till you get your hands on their Merciless Distortion pedal... It’s like the HM2 but they cleaned it up in the bad spots! It’s like they took a surgical EQ tool and snipped the cat piss frequencies out and left the grit and teeth in it! I hope they make plugins of their pedals one day
@garyrsingleton5 жыл бұрын
Visceral Abomination thanks for the words man! Yeah that’s exactly what I tell people about that pedal. It’ll def slam those Swedish tones but even rolling off the highs just a mm makes a massive difference. It’s very versatile

Gary Singleton I put a low pass filter on my guitars at around 7khz cause it’s just noise from there and up. I try a 32DB slope if I have the option. Might be controversial but I like the difference.

This demo was a perfect for me since I got a IIC+ and this was the exact flavor of tone I was looking for out of a MI Audio amp I was chasing. Not going to need an extra amp now!

In my opinion you should test it in the clean channel too, basically we are hearing the amp distortion with the pedal as a booster, not the real pedal, also I cant hear any difference (or just a little) when you move the knobs because of that. I mean, it sounds killer of course, but not everyone has a Mesa boogie :D
