I grew up in Durban North, just off Mackeurtan Avenue, a stones throw from Virginia Airport. Lots of memories....there are some old lookout towers left over from the war, not far from the Durban North Police Station. We used to play there, theyre fenced off now. Lots of secret places.
@BeingBedingfield Жыл бұрын
Aww, wish we knew about those lookout towers, sounds really cool!

Thanks, Guys, you brought back so many memories of Glen Ashley beach near the Aiport, When I was young I used to go fishing at that same beach where you are behind the Airport. Good old Durban North, by the way, I went to Northlands Boys Primary School in the sixties not far from where you are. Know the area very well. I am a DURBAN BOY born and bred. Living in Asia now. Thanks again for these lovely videos of my country. PS. Heard the hadidas bird sounds in your video, which brought tears to my eyes. Miss home!!!!

Donuts for breakfast, why not? Though Steve would go with a creme filling over custard. Would have loved to see the bird park, oh well next time... Steve would have appreciated the Italian restaurant with a plane spotting view, he's become a bit of a plane geek as we traveled more.
@BeingBedingfield3 жыл бұрын
Donuts for breakfast is the new trend 🤣. Any view where I can see planes and an ocean is the perfect view for me (Craig). We are definitely planning on making a full video on the bird park. It is really amazing there. Steve must check out a KZbinr named Sam Chui. He will fulfill all Steve's plane geek desires. I am also a plane geek (Craig) 🤓.

So many places have changed here in Bali as well even just after 6 months but I guess the pandemic has forced many people to close. OOOO first place where Craig took you for a date!?? Remember paying R2 and entering in the burger eating competition 😆 Thanks again for the video. 😀

The donuts looked so good, seemed like there were so many good options in the shop! Can't beleive the Japanese garden was free! all the ones we've been too, including several in Japan usually had a small entrance fee, so cool to have it free in Durban North, Japanese gardens are my favorite (Yevhen). Definitely a lot of changes happened to small businesses around the world, glad you were able to get a hearty warm meal at the Italian restaurant!

I think this happens to all of us. We literally forget to explore where we live or nearby areas. Things change and people change. Growth is inevitable. If we go just little further than we typically would a whole new world could exist just under noses. The lasagna looks great. I love a beach pretty much all the time. Safe travels!
