The filter on my 330 looked just like yours Sam. It too had no suction till I cleaned it up now it had bags of the stuff!

i do have a fondness for old Electrolux vacuums. They seemed to put the effort into not only functionality but styling too. i wonder if that white flex has been changed ? is it missing that very simple but clever Electrolux recoil stop on the flex so the plug doesn't continually get whacked. i have one of those grey cables with the stop somewhere in my hoard.
