When Aspinall talked about not being interested in yachts and being in movies, I'm about 80% sure he was taking a shot at Gane who refused to fight him and claimed it was because he had already agreed to be in a movie and couldn't go through a camp because of his obligations there.
@dylan104

I don't think it was necessarily a shot at anyone, I think his main point was just that he loves to fight and that's all he's in it for. He doesn't care about any of the outside bs, talking shit, or ducking people to protect his legacy, he just wants to fight and find out who the best in the world is.

My understanding with mokaev, he admitted that he went up to Manel to take a picture with him and then him and his buddies jumped him. Dana made it sound like the higher-ups indoor matchmakers do not want to work with him anymore in any capacity. I bet he was told not to do something specific, and he did that thing that he wasn't supposed to do. 🤣

Most weeks I watch this show after there's been a UFC fight though I have a problem with audio learning and the fact that there's not any clips to show what Jack is talking about can make me sort of lose my attention span during some parts of the videos. I've been following the UFC since it started but I don't know a ton about Jiu-Jitsu moves and that seems to be where Jack really likes to go into detail and it's hard for me to picture some of it without seeing footage. Anyhow that being said I normally will stick around for the whole thing even if it tends to go off course on to some of these more difficult subjects. But this week it's just the fights themselves that I can't really be bothered with. I don't want to jump on the Belal versus Leon is the most boring fight in the world thing but I honestly can't be bothered to watch a review of that fight. I hate the mainstream opinion most of the time but they really might be the two most boring guys ever and hearing about one of their fights after I was forced to watch the damn thing is something I really can't endure today. Before you tell me Jack I know I can pay some money on patreon and probably get to see some moving pictures but I am a very poor man. I'll check in with you after the next event. Also... the state of the heavyweight division is a complete and total joke if Curtis Blaydes is considered a reasonable contender for the championship. Have we really ever seen Tom Aspinall fight anybody good yet? This is nothing against Tom at all but is this the weakest the division has ever been? I think it may have been better during the Arlovsky era and that was pretty rough.

@jordibaizabal5682 Ай бұрын
Do you remember DC defending his heavyweight belt against Derrick Lewis? The HW division has always been shallow and it'll be a long time before we see good heavyweights all down the rankings. And Tom has fought everyone they gave him. Not his fault the remaining top guys don't want to fight him
@bookaufman9643
@bookaufman9643 Ай бұрын
@@jordibaizabal5682 there are no remaining top guys in the heavyweight division. If you're talking about Gane then you're talking about a one tool fighter who Tom will just take down and tap out. Jon Jones already proved that that dude's a joke. Competitive sake you can try to see if he could finish him before Jones did. He'd have to go pretty fast. Also the heavyweight division with Daniel Cormier was better than today by far. That had top level Stipe and Francis.

'Have we ever seen Tom Aspinall fight anybody good yet?' He has fought pretty much all available competition except Jones. There's literally one good fighter in the entirety of the heavyweight division and he won't fight Aspinall even if his life depends on it.
@bookaufman9643
@bookaufman9643 Ай бұрын
@@gael.7593 I'm not blaming Tom for it I'm just saying the heavyweight division is at its lowest right now. We don't really know if aspinall could handle Jon Jones because he hasn't fought anybody on that level. That's not his fault and he may be able to handle Jon Jones just fine. He probably would want to avoid the wrestling though.

Invicta is bad, but I think that is because of the promotional position it has always held, rather than because WMMA is bad (it's worse, yes, but it can obviously become better, and it's not like UFC has been knocking it out of the park with most of their shows). Historically, any time a woman showed an ounce of talent in Invicta, UFC would snatch them up, so Invicta was basically 99% bad fighters UFC didn't want, and old fighters winding down their career. Since UFC doesn't need Invicta anymore (they funnel everything through DWCS), and apparently Invicta made some "really good deal," there's a chance talent can develop there independently, which I think would be better for WMMA in general.

Just compare Belal Muhammad's stats from before he fought Wonderboy to that fight onward and you'll be unable to deny the fact that he blatantly started juicing around that time, if you disagree than just ask yourself how he went from going 1/10 on takedowns against Dhiego Lima at the start of 2021 to 7/9 on takedowns on WB who's an all around far superior fighter by the end of 2021 at 33-34 years old when most fighters are exiting their prime and seeing statistical declines not unprecedented increases🤔

I don’t think you should blame a fighter for being “boring” if it works. Seems dumb to think you should risk losing your fight and get hurt to be exciting. Exciting fighters mane more money an get fan support typically

Leon will be back. This was definitely the worst performance of his career, but I still firmly believe hes the best Welterweight in the world right now by far given hes in the right headspace to perform. Lets just hope he can figure out how to turn it on when he needs to.
