@Beldvlmnt some people do not like Floors voice being embedded into the choir more as you can not hear her as clearly. However she was supposed to be part of that choir of ancestors singing to us from the past. ​😊 I love the song as is myself. The YT channel Nightwish Arena has done a couple of adjustments to get her sounding higher in the mix but I don't think it works exactly as it brings out other things or causes some sound i do not think should be there. It's pretty good though, and many like the change.

Nightwish composes for, arranges, and records a full live London orchestra and choirs to be included in the mix. In past songs like The Greatest Show on Earth they had over 500 tracks to mix. For onstage they create backing tracks of up to 250 tracks for orchestra and choir parts not directly played by the keyboards. The keyboardist Tuomas is the mastermind behind it all. This mix really showcases the Orchestra.

Many reactors have commented that Floor's chorus vocal is too low in the mix. Personally, I think Tuomas has done this deliberately, so that her vocal line becomes part of the ensemble. Great reaction and thank you.

I saw a short video by Tuomas Holopainen where he said that meeting the choir and Floor together was done intentionally. Personally, I find the mix to be a brilliant idea. Tuomas is a freaking genius... and I love this song.

👍Nice to hear a fellow (retired) sound technician shine his light on this one.I like the song and ofcource,the video a lot but, you already can read it in some comments people gave.There are some parts where i miss the clarity or vocal volume,it's said,that it is a artistic choise of Tuomas/band to blend in the voice with the choir or a more philosophical reason ,that floor is "one of the ancestors"in the background. Maby,it's also a smart move of Tuomas (main producer) that he ,more or less,force you to listen to this great composition a few times to also dive into the lyrics . Really can't wait to hear this live,you know what fan's say; "Nightwish is best served live".😉🤘

Did you hear the 4 notes (B minor-G minor, A minor-F minor) by the choir that are a RED thread threw the whole song, also in Floor's lines, strings and piano? 2:36 This is SO well composed and thought about. The owl's head spinning ANTI clockwise, going back in time. There are hundreds of symbols in this clip. The thousands of butterflies representing our ancestors, the beautiful lizard who dives in the water is also coming back several times, per example when Floor dives from the tree It's so tiny that you hardly notice it. The humpback wale skeleton with the diver and than the live humpback wales and sperm wales. It all refers to our ancestors and evolution. I can't wait to hear this song live. Wouldn't it be great to see them live for one time with the London Philharmonic Orchestra instead of a recording of the orchestra? Who knows....1 day Thanks, great reaction

Thanks! Great reaction. Mix seems divide people. It feels that this song especially need listen good quality speakers/headphones. Recommend listen this song from Spotify/Tidal or Qobuz good quality(hi-res if possible) here is so much details. Especially Drummer Kai drums sound great, you kind see Kai play front of you. It seems that KZbin tend to compress/pack music quite much in videos, video sound "muddier".

floor said in a previous interview that this album was going to be much heavier and i don't think she was very far off with that assessment i mean she knows what heavy is especially when it comes to the very gifted musicians with the simply awesome rhythms and the effortless transitions any of the sounds go through and by the length of this song it will be another full length album from them all killer no filler and i could just be my opinion here about the evolutionary/anthropological origins of man but I think audiences have come away with a new appreciation for life over death in alot of cases because death is part of circle of life if we spent as much time embracing life as we do embracing worshipping death we should be doing that with life ladies & gentlemen and saying that this album will definitely be worth the money im going to spend cause and this is just a sneak peek as to the rest of what the rest of the extraordinary album coming September 20th
