The expansions makes points each scoring phase not just end of game

Indeed they do, thank you for pointing out that error! Despite this, I feel that the majority of the time they will score BEST for you at games end. However, a few extra points will trickle in in the process! Thanks again!

how did you feel about starting with 6 points and there being only 6 calendar spots in the game

It adds more tension...I liked that. However, I think less time makes the expansions even harder to make viable.
