I have a Belgian Tervuren and a Flat-coated retriever. The Terv is one 20 months old but are now maturing and easier to handle. The Flat coated retriever is a certified iddog.Six years old. Together we have searched many lost cats and dogs. The Belgian Terv have been with us searching since he was around 3 months. He learned from his older family member. He is today a very skilled iddog. An Id dog is one that get a smeller of what to search and follow that scent for many km. ID means that they follow only the scent you presented to them. That is my dogs job. We used to search 4-5 cats and dogs per week. I now have decided to search much less because you are always under pressure from peoble that are desperate to get their dog or cat back home. It is for most people a lost family member that have been gone missing. Many are desperate searching for the pet. I think iddogs are pretty unique for Sweden. We can search anything on 2 or 4 legs as long as they walk on the ground. For my dogs searching is the mental stimulation that makes the difference. Trailing a dog for 25 km in rough terrain is our limit. That means for the dog 5-6 hours of nose work. It would be nice to meet you in Brno. I am going to Wienna during August and passing Brno. It would be great if we could meet in Brno and let the dogs meet. The idhund.se is pretty unique and I will tell you all about that. My dogs are working dogs. We charge 50 € for the first search and 25 € for the following searches. Presumably very cheap but we work for getting cats and dogs home. Not just to earn money. If you are active it might pay for the dog food and many long searches with your dogs. When my active dogs have been searching for several hours they fall asleep in the back of the car. Once we drive home they recover and once we are home again after 1-2 hours they are prepared to take another walk. Our target for every day searching or not is 10 km of walking. Having a Flat coated retriever of the hunting line and a Belgien Shepheard of the closer to working line will need you to take a walk in any weather. These dogs are no coach potatoes.

Amazing video, my Belgian tervuren Cleopatra was sadly put down yesterday night at 14 years old and I am so thankful for her and her companion ever since I was 5. Belgian tervurens are truly wonderful.

Super vidéo pour une superbe ballade... le tervueren est une race agile et plein de dynamisme. Il est par ailleurs très protecteur et aime beaucoup son maître comme sa famille.

That was lovely, seeing the forest in springtime with one happy Rancho. Just to let you know there was no end screen, think that was by choice but just in case. 💙😊

Thanks Smudge 😊 Yeah, it was sort of by choice 😀 I didn’t leave enough time at the end and I didn’t want it to show up in the actual video. But thank you for noticing 🥰
