Ive noticed something about the Steelers and mike Tomlin that seems to be part of the reason they never have losing seasons. You hear of lots of fans of the ravens or chargers complain about injuries and playing their backups. But the steelers backups are not a huge dropoff from their starters. I think the steelers do a great job at putting together a "B" team that can still play to the level necessary to win and thats what makes the difference. Mason rudolph was an amazing backup qb, now we have russ as our backup. Highsmith got injured in the game and the guy that came in to replace him was excellent. Troy fantanu got injured and we have broderick jones come in and hold up that side of the line just fine. Our wide receivers were backups and they played well.

All we needed was a confident and talented QB. We didnt have that with Pickett and Trubisky. Fields has found his home! Russ will be ready to step in, IF NEEDED.

But now #18 Williams is going through the same thing Justin did!!! he's better out with the Steelers, same old Bears!!!!

Reason season starts out as a roller coaster, Players don’t go to volunteer workouts while off. This changed things because it throws consistency out the door. The repeated reps, muscle memory, learning together extra as a team is crucial. But cba said players don’t have to go. They didn’t have to before but did or wouldn’t play. As I agree with Tom, players are mediocre for their level. Extra reps in incredibly needed to gel as a team. Brady mentioned the mediocre he sees and that’s from lack of extra practices with teammates, being one, gelling together.
