According to me, acting the scenes from the movies increases believability because we have the source to see the original actor's actions and we can learn from them, the physicality and facial expressions This improves our acting

DarkFootball 037 i just don’t wanna be a flat actress... My acting teacher told us we need to show more range and use movement in a scene to make it look real. I just thought there was a technique that could assist me or somethin😕

Tabish Khan I’m actually interested in acting on screen now. I tried theatre but now I wanna do film and I was told it was done way differently .

@@Miamia69292 if you're doing TV and film acting, just ask the director. They need to keep you in camera at all times, so if you suddenly get up and leave the scene, you'll have ruined it 😂 however, if you're doing stage acting then you can break the script into units of movement. For example, go through the script and think about what your character would be doing. Making a cup of coffee? Eating something? Make it cohesive as well, so your character is eating something in the first unit, then in the second unit they go and put it in the bin, third unit they go and wash theirs hands etc. This works for an emotional moment too, when your character pauses in the middle of a unit to interact with another character or something, it adds tension and grips the audience. I'm not a teacher, just a fellow actor and telling you what helps me! :)

Samia Rice now when you are acting and trying to place yourself into character it will come naturally to thought of spacing out and using the open space simply by practice and constantly reminding yourself to use the open space around you. However when you are being filmed like on screen there are methods of camera recording, such as different types of focus and approaches to attract the eye into watching the actor, etc, so the director will most likely help give some direction for you.

With I myself, I'm extremely self conscious about my physical appearance, I've been trying to work on my image, it's just hard to face the camera when I have to look at the things I hate but I do hope to improve with time. Once I get more confident with my body and once I start Testosterone (I'm Transgender FTM) I hope to see decent results in front of the camera. Your channel is very useful and thank you for providing these tips for us. Keep up the good work!

Script slug has scripts from a lot of films(or movies whatever you call them) if you know a film with a monologue in it you can search it up on script slug and they’ll give you the script

Hi! Thank you so much for the video, it is very useful :) Do you think it's better to work on one monologue or several at the same time?
@TheActorsAcademy4 жыл бұрын
I would suggest working on one monologue at a time. Doing multiple monologues simultaneously can spread our attention a little too much/what we are focusing on within a particular piece. Doing too many pieces at once tends to give a less effective practice.

Would filming a monologue at home be ok as a reel for tv/film to start? I don't have one because I got into acting last year and performed in plays only, however most tv/film calls require to submit a reel.

@a sock jeezz calm down. There is so much more to this industry than just focusing on being on TV shows straight away. For him to have featured on sam and cat is an amazing achievement. People sometimes work extra and background roles for years before they book something big. You'll have all the success you want but try not to belittle people or accuse people of lying on the internet out of jealousy or being fixated on the wrong things :))) Good luck I'm sure you'll book all the roles you want to
