Suresh Chandra Mishra during his one of the videos on Saptarishis Astrology channel had mentioned that Parashara was maharshi while Jaimini was kaand rishi. He also stated that kaand rishi is 7 times lower the level of the maharshi. kaand means a branch in Sanskrit, so Jaimini had a sort of phd. on one subject of the Astrology, while Parashara had commands over all area of the astrology.

Just to add a little here that I came across somewhere: Grahas aspect means living things or beings, while Rashi aspects means non living things such as furniture and other surroundings. This helps in understanding what are the effects if for an example some house is afflicted. All the significations go for a toss? Like 4th house means mother, happiness and also fixed assets and 100 more such things. In Parashari system, advanced studies of tatwas may determine this exactly. And adding jaimini principles is nothing but reaching to the same understanding with a shortcut. Jaimini principles are to simplify and reach the same meaning faster!. Thank you again.

It seems Jaimini has a bit more to do with the creative intuition of the astrologer and collapse of the wave function in relation to the moment of observation. One has noticed a tendency to create rules in both aspects of astrology that seem to work. Quite fascinating really.

I like what you are saying. So, by combining Jaimini chara karakas and rashi dashas with Parashara's vimshottari dashas we can make more accurate predictions (due to the accumulation of evidence across two different systems). If someone is running the mahadasha of Venus and Venus is Gnati Karaka (GK) and placed in the 12th house, could you predict that this person might experience some health troubles during Venus mahadasha? Using Jaimini rashi dashas, you could narrow down the time period and look for confirmation in the D30 and with lajjitaadi avashtas. Is this is a reasonable way of combining the two?

Hello Ryan, Considering that the intellectuals only can handle the astrology. I understand, Jaimini and Parashara Astrology is like a " Romantic Parents " to watch when we grow up, they compliment each other. When you say " remove some of the sentences " why do you want to remove ? and make versions including you, when we all know that the ancient " Parashara and Jaimini the names itself clarifying it is belongs to the vedic indian ancient culture. Why not mentioning this is for human kind? Loka samastha sukhino bhavantu is a targeting message to all human kind! as an example. I hope you wont take it as a religious question.
