I'm amazed how small it is in the bag! Perfect for chucking in the back of the car! It looks really spacious. I do think I'd be inclined to get a tent with "rooms" if I was going anywhere it my family though.

It is really spacious although we do tend to spread out rather quickly with our stuff! I don't think we could get away with a tent with 'rooms' as the kids end up sleeping in our room at home half the time anyway (sob!)

It's massive isn't it? I am always astounded how big they are, but I had no idea it packed down so tiny. We have a modern tent and it takes twice as much room in the van. The light inside and the colour is really nice - brighter than I expected! :)

I know what you mean, I would have expected it to be a bit darker inside but even on only a partially sunny day it was light and cheerful. I think I may have been thinking of the old canvas tents in Western films!

Where I live, the "zip ties" that hold multiple segments of a tent pole together is called a "shock chord" -- but then again, you say "tent pegs" and I say "tent stakes." :-)

I'd never heard of a bell tent before, but it looks fab! I've not been camping since I was about ... 18. Maybe one day my little ones will get to experience sleeping in the great outdoors :D

This is an amazing tent! I've never heard of this brand of tent and when you were putting it up I really thought it looked too small, but the once you got inside I couldn't believe how much room there was.

The size is one of the reasons we really wanted it. Plenty of room for the kids to play and all of our gear!

Great vid ,hope you have fun it's great ! Get a stove ! I'm going with a gstove from Canada ! If it was pernament I might get something different , because of weight and function ,but a gstove is you ,you can cook and just get a Colman oven and set it on top of stove ! All you need ! Have fun !

I can't tell by the description if you only had this for a review or for your family to use for a while,. My question is after you have had it a while, do you think this would be big enough for me and my wife and two dogs, for off grid camping a week or so at time. We've had it for a few years now and it's big enough for us and two kids but we do put the mattresses/sleeping bags away during the day so we have more room. It would be big enough for two people and two dogs but the 5 metre would give you more space especially if you're stuck indoors during the rain and want a living area set up.

Hi Mary, We've had this 4 seasons now and it's done really well in some very windy, wet camping trips. It's never leaked inside at all but it can be hard to dry out if it gets wet and then continues to rain once we're back at home. We've had to turn up the heat in the house and drape it all over the living room once or twice. Ours fits 4 comfortably. I do think I would go the extra for a 5M though as our friend have more room than we do. It really is pretty easy to set up. I've done it a few times with just my youngest to help!

Do all their tents have openings for wood stoves ?

The company will fit a fire proof patch for about another £50 into any tent and then you have to put in a silicone flashing in yourself which we also bought from Bell Tent Boutique. If you watch our First Family Glamping weekend you can see what it looks like fitted.
