Deandra created such a BEAUTIFUL purple palette 😭💜 I love the packaging for dead roses so much it makes me want to buy it just for that! I love the shimmer shades & would love to switch out the mattes 👀🤌 oh & for anyone curious about doing the dark to light technique, the key is to use small dense brushes, keep the dark pigment contained to a very small area & then increase brush size as you go lighter with your mattes! Best to pack the darkest mattes on, pack the midtoned matte & gently blend, then just fully blend the lightest shade. I mostly pack & blend my eyeshadows & have a hard time applying in the "windshield wiper" technique! I should try it tho 😅

@@seekingshifts no specific brand recc's, it's all about the shape & type of bristle. For the outer corner/v & outer lower lash line I use something small & dense like a rounded pencil brush (some call it a fingertip brush) or a small slightly angled fluffy brush. I like natural bristles when I want a lot of pigment payoff but don't mind if it isn't as accurate. Natural bristles tend to pick up more product but they also tend to lay down a more diffused & scattered amount whereas a synthetic will pick up less product but give you a more precise application. So for instance, if I'm doing a shadow wing I will grab a small synthetic pencil brush & pack the shadow down in the shape I want. You know what? Instead of typing this all out, I'm going to make a story & I'll send it to you! 🤗💜

I'm kind of the opposite as you for applying eyeshadow. In high school and early 20s, I would always do light to dark, then I found beauty youtube around 2019 and started to practice and do dark to light more often, and now I've been practicing light to dark again. 😅 I now though switch up my looks depending in which shade I want to be more pigmented and how I want the blend to look. ❤ Also, I think you did well!!

When I go from dark to light, I start with my darkest colour in my outer corner then I’ll do my medium colour in my crease, and then my lightest colour to blend it all out. I like to do this, so I don’t go over any area with more than one colour fully.

I LOVE Recently Deinfluenced! It was my #1 palette for 2023, I’ve already hit pan on one of the shades lol. If you like rich, bold warm tones I highly recommend! My other recommendation would be Basic Witch! That one has more of a muted and pastel-adjacent vibe but still packs a punch.

I’m hoping to order Ultraviolet today! But omg, that shade in Dead Roses you talked about doing a reel with, I would buy the entire palette just for that shade if I could 😍 but I think instead I’m going to try and create a similar look, I’ll use a peachy orange iridescent with a pretty purple shimmer if I have to! Lmao, I can’t with BBB, always releasing too many beautiful, tempting palettes before I can even grab the previous launch I wanted 😂😂
