Had a 17-31A for several years. N93710 a 1974 model. Can't beat a Lycoming engine. Wish I had never sold mine as it later was wrecked when the owner ran out of gas n landed short of a runway and totaled it! Great flying aircraft.

Ahhh.....a plane from my childhood! So good to see this. Takes me back to all my well thumbed and aged copies of 'The Observers Book of Aircraft'. I still have them. Thanks for this post.

TheHDAviation I can't remember the last time I saw one here in the UK! Probably back in the late 80's or early 90's when I worked part time as ground crew and fire crew at Fairoakes Airport in Surrey. That characteristic huge tail fin really stands out. I love the scenery where this was filmed.....such beautiful forested mountains. Thanks for the reply.

I think that paint pattern is universal for all Vikings. These planes are really nice, and loud too. Easiest plane to use to buzz the one person you hate
