Love Chael and Hardy together, this was awesome. Note though, everyone is always talking about Yoel not using his wrestling, but no one talks about his fused neck. It might be super painful or his spine just doesn't bend and flex the way it should, makes sense that he keeps it standing. Very impressive to be honest, late 40's, fused neck, doesn't use his best weapons, still a monster 💪

By the way ppl are talking about the performance of both fighters, No one seems to understand the reasons behind such lackluster performances from both fighters. First analysis, comes from Santos. He’s approaching Yoel in a more lower and narrow stance than he normally has. Reason being is Yoel is very explosive and has taken down recent opponents and has been effective on the ground as well. So to negate the potential of a takedown, Thiago has his hands low and ready to stuff takedowns if necessary. Yoel on the other hand, sees that, and uses that to stand up a little taller than usual, making it easier for him to get off combos to Santos’s head and body and to pressure him back, while not giving away the plan of a possible takedown and staying safe from knees and uppercuts.

idk whats with the comments it was an interesting fight to watch. fighting isnt about entertainment its about tactics and strategy. taking Yoels power in consideration was wise Thiago is at a point of his career where a bad ko from Yoel can be career ending both fighters have that capability, it was a good tactic to first take the power out Thiagos legs with the leg kicks, wish to see Thiago use his reach more with jabs and teeps, that body kick was fire, it was Yoels night
