Without watching the whole series of this build, I can see a few issues you will have to deal with: Since the roof of the shipping containers have a slight crown on them, you created a water drainage problem where the base of the Quonset meets the down side of the slope of the Conex. To exacerbate the above issue, you also just created around 100 holes in the roof of your shipping containers with dissimilar metals which will begin corroding even if you mange to keep them dry. By placing the shipping containers directly on the ground you will have a condensation problem on the underside of them where you will slowly rot the wood of the floors and rust the metal floor joists. You might also find you soon have burrowing critters making that space under the floor their new home. Sorry for the negativity, just trying to educate others who might want to consider these issues if they attempt to do the same.

Anyone who tries to suggest there was an easier way to put that together…has never put one of those together. Do you know how much snow and wind this Quonset can withstand? 🌨🌬
@shanebell958911 ай бұрын
All of it!! Seriously though I believe the snow load is a little over 850 lbs sq ft. Wind is either 120 or 140 mph for this area. It’s a stout building.

Thank you! It was actually fun to put together! We had enough days in between the building days so it didn’t see so bad!

I built a 25 x 32 corrugated with straight side walls.I pre assembled the first 6 sections and it was a bear to work with.All I had was rolling staging to work from.If I had assembled my sections as you did it would have gone much more smoothly.Great job!👍.Did you do anything to seal the joints between sections?
@BellsFarming10 ай бұрын
That would have been hard without a lift! This Quonset did not require any of the sealant on the seems. One of the older ones they put together did. This one has rubber washers in the bolts.
