@@postedback , joshua tree is a wealthy people getaway retreat. it is in a busy area, I mean, it is not on the middle of nowhere. and it sits over a oasis, the whole yucca and coachella valley are oasis, and if I am not mistaken close to palm spring there are the biggest natural non-dam oasis in the world. so they get water from the underground rivers. the internet is very good because those 2 valleys are highly populated, especially the coachella one (with over 250k dwellers) and it is just 3 hours away from LA.

Spent my 4th grade year of elementary school in a quonset hut while my hometown built a new school. I thought it was pretty neat. I remember we had snow that year, the first snow I ever remembered having, and it was pretty cozy in our "class room". However, I don't remember it being as inventive-ly decked out as this guy's place.

A true artist knows how to shape his environs. Walden is an example, so is Furst's home. But Furst has a command of physical space that's really exceptional. Wow. He pulls from so many disciplines (each with mastery) and then assembles the total space. In other words, his art has the context of his home and his home is an expression of his life. And it's open, walkable, inviting. So he's taken the last and final step of any great artist ( in my opinion ) of inviting in the local community for interaction. So? Who cares? Well, this is important when presenting art. It's the opposite of the 'gallery star artist with the genius concept art' we all loath because they're all ego. Anyway, really nice to see, thanks for the visit!
