I grew up scared of Belsnickle. My mom's ancestral region called him Benzanickle. If we were good, he would leave candy in our shoes. If we were bad we risked a beating from him or worse....carried away in a sack to be ground into Christmas candy. 😂😂😂😂😂 No other kids where I grew up heard of him so when we talked about him it really scared them🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have been evangelizing for Belznickle for years!!!! Grew up in NE Pennsylvania, German/Irish blend family. My own kids loved him. Bring on the jingle bells and switches!

Growing up in PA, our family always puts out our shoes/boots for Belsnickle. Still do for our kids now. Pretty sure it was a reason for our Dads to dress up when we were bad and got hit with the switch
