Hi Sam, Yes, We are looking into the ability to split wider belts. I made this to able to split those thicker belts such as felt and leather. I will keep you posted when we introduce it. We also have a belt bar which slips over the belt and allows more control when splitting belts . Great review by the way!!!

I had a feeling you would already be on it! sounds good. that"s good to know about the belt bar! That would make the process a lot easier especially freehand and not in a clamp. I'm excited to see more of what you come up with!!!

That's a great tool for splitting your belts. I saw the Alexandria Knife Sharpening youtube channel use a 1/8" belt to sharpen a serrated knife. Your idea for making a wider tool to handle 2" and 3" wide belts is good. The tool would only need to have a 1" wide section for 1/8" blade spacing. That would be a ton of blades to keep the 1/8" spacing for the whole width.

true that!!! but if you use a lot of those 1/8 inch belts it may be worth it lol. but being able to split down a few and have even more flexibility would be super cool! it sounds like he is already in the works for such a product.

@@bwillan it’s designed to come apart to accommodate the smaller belts that were just created.

I agree with you. Great tool. Smart idea to use multiple blades at once.

thanks. I thought I might as well get a few done at once rather than one at a time. but also, good blades make a big difference! Stanly carbide.
