Any tips for avoiding putting on too much muscle mass? I’m 6’ and about 190 lbs with tested body fat % usually about 3%. Max squat is mid 400s. I don’t push it at all on upper body day. I’d like to get my legs stronger but not sure if it’ll be possible without putting on more weight and hitting the point of diminishing returns.

You can do the same thing if you get a weight belt that people use to do weighted pull-ups and dips, add some weight, and stand on 2 blocks that are tall enough and hold on to a power rack. The belt squat machine is just fancy and the way I described takes a little set up time!

the only way I would suggest adding them in is paired with deadlift if you want to avoid adding even more spinal loading.

Bro you can sit on a bench and load up a barbell, deadlift the barbell up on top of your knees (I also suggest a barbell pad ) and have a plate on the ground, stick your toes on the edge of the plate and start seated calf raises, voila your welcome, seated calf machine takes up a lot of space but is nice and the other way requires a little set up
