As a Milwaukee guy its good to see Dewalt stepping up and coming out with a good looking framing nailer instead of that flywheel crap they had going on.

I've had one for 5 years or so and it's not the best but I've shot allot of nails through it and it will shoot through oak which none of the others can do. But I agree been waiting for a new one.
@LawnCareMinimalist9 ай бұрын
I agree… that DeWALT is terrible. Here comes the nail… ready… ready. Ok the nail is shot… noise, noise…. almost done. Milwaukee is pretty heavy still so that’s one tool where air is often preferable but the rest of the Milwaukee nailers! WOW. That gen2 DeWALT still looked like a piece of crap, but big improvement from the old gun.
@evictioncarpentry26289 ай бұрын
Are you deaf? You can literally hear the flywheel in this one still. Lol
@davegordon69439 ай бұрын
@@LawnCareMinimalist you don't have to wait until it ramps up. You can put it on sequential fire and bump fire it the same as any other gun. The sound just lets you know it's ready to shoot. As soon as you push it down it'll shoot. You don't have to wait for it to fully wind up.
@LawnCareMinimalist9 ай бұрын
@@davegordon6943you have to wait for the flywheel to shut up where the Milwaukee instantly fires with no half baked engineering at all. Both guns function but seems like using a corded drill in terms of user comfort (not quite on that level, just similar). Cordless framers are too heavy for some applications but I’d switch brands based on nailer tech alone because all the other nailers aren’t on par either. DeWALT is also a great brand, but if the trade uses nailers, Milwaukee kind of owns that lane and generally red outperforms yellow in most tools (not all) and red is often willing to make trade focused tools and not be shy to innovate and out release the rest… Milwaukee is sometimes slow to release and sometimes leads the pack for releases but most of what they release is among the very best of all brands. I’ve never had DeWALT as my primary but geeked out on review channels about a year ago and I own around $20K in power tools (lots of Festool) and Milwaukee is hard to beat for the common stuff. There are some really cool DeWALT tools but coincidently I haven’t needed any of those odd slots.

My heart sank when I saw a new Milwaukee nail gun and it wasn't a roofing nailer. Good for them for listening to what we want otherwise. The m36extractor with packout compatability as well as 120V versatility is a game changer. Now they just need to implement this in Table saws, miter saws, Tower lights, more vaccuums, etc. Still waiting for a snowblower and the roofing nailer.

I personally highly appreciate Rob and Sarah giving us opportunity to experience the leading innovative trends in the construction industry. First of all the the Milwaukee vac with the remote start stop is day before yesterday's news. Honestly there are number of companies had this solution for years. But better later then never as the saying goes. Thanks for the plug option. As for the DeWalt, I understand they are crazy proud to have one battery fits all policy. And this all good but time is coming when the universal power supply units will be all over the place. So, why not introduce adapters and accessories that would at least be half step forward. Makita with the framing nail gun.... Again, like Milwaukee day before yesterday news. What really stood out is Honda electric powered saw. Very interesting, modular solution could be a good development. Printing robot also interesting although, how one ensures accuracy and it change happens, which is very common in the industry what solution do they offer... The diamond blade... Makita, common!!!

@@Terrence432 Bosch has pretty good battery SDS Plus and Max units. Alot of options on dust extraction while drilling or chizzeling. There two last Generation grinders are also in the top 4. At least the GWS 18V 150SC and 180PC. They also have good miter saws.The GCM 18V 216 DC is better than the Option Milwaukee offers right now. Same goes for the 12" Miter. The big GCM has more power than the biggest M18 miter and it has more functions like speed control. But for the very rest.. That GSR/GSB 18V 150 is like the biggest drill i ever saw. There circular and tracksaw is medicore. There new Zallsaw is as powerful as a 4 year old M18 Milwaukee unit. There impacts all suck.. There new garden lineup is worse than what they allready released like 10 years ago as they still used there 36V system. The 36V Professional garden tools where actually very ahead of there time and on the same Level as Stihl or even ahead on most battery Power tools but they said 36V has no future.. Now they are the only big Brand that don't have an higher voltage system..

I'm a huge Milwaukee fan, but geez took them long enough to implement Bluetooth into their shopvacs. They are only a couple years behind in that regard. And why for the love of God did they not start with a dual power for their shop vac platform? Like seriously it seems like a no-brainer. I mean did they really expect people to buy TWO different heads and carry them around when they want to use a cord on a job site? I know it requires more tech which means more weight and such to allow a tool to Run on AC and DC power but with these shopvacs you for the most part are wheeling them around and not carrying so weight is a non-starter. Also the Dewalt framing nailers, are they still spring-loaded or have they switched over to the more reliable nitrogen canister as a means to drive the nails? Also what about the weight? People's main and mostly only complaint with the Milwaukee framing nailer is the weight. It weighs the same as a small fridge.
