It really bothers me that Harvey Weinstein produced some of the best movies of all time and some of my favorites like good Will hunting and pulp fiction and all of Tarantino’s movie except for Once upon a time in Hollywood cuz he was monumental in getting Ben and matt oscars and getting Tarantino two screenplay oscars and Christoph waltz getting two oscars

@@natanlopes4000he used aggressive campaigning to get the Oscar away from Spielberg and even said stuff to Academy members that was putting down Saving Private Ryan, like how you couldn’t watch that film with your kids or you can’t remember anything after the Omaha Beach scene that’s the most notable moment in the film. Weinstein was a scumbag who wanted an Academy Award and did whatever he could to get it.

I'm from Cambridge, where both of them are from, and I remember after that movie came out, many of us also thought that Matt was the smart, talented one and Ben was his idiot friend that rode on his coattails. After all, Matt got into Harvard. And Ben's JLo period didn't help his image either. It wasn't until Argo, Gone Girl and Gone Baby Gone came out that we realized Ben is a more talented than we'd imagined, especially for directing and producing.

Billy Crystal has hosted the Oscars on several occasions. He's been in a few good ones like when Harry Met Sally and City Slickers, but that's about all of the bigger ones that I can think. Damon and Affleck of course became big stars and it all started with Good Will Hunting. No offense to Affleck but his acting was pretty awful in Armageddon and Pearl Harbor. He couldn't quite keep up with his friend Damon because this was when the Bourne movies came out, which made Damon into the US version of James Bond.
