@@ElleHartStrings Caspian's character in the book is 13 (16 by the time of Dawn Treader) Caspian might also have an political mindset going on as the peace ambassador between both cultures. By willingly adopting a more Narnian accent, he is representing the harmonious acceptance between both Narnians and Telmarines alike; who I'd assume would still have a lot of civil contempt towards one another in the years that followed "Prince Caspian". I know that wasn't the intention of the new accent, but I thought I'd further defend the plausibility of its change.

Oh, I love to hear this. I loved caspian's accent in the first movie and to learn that Ben purposefully pitched his accent between an italian and Spanish accent to fit in with the Italian cast members is actually a really cool detail and shows how much he thought about it and wasn't just going for something generic. It's a real shame the director chose to get rid of the accents and personally I don't feel like it made any sense, he made a huge mistake in not listening to Ben on that one. The accents were very well done and there's no way that and adult Caspian would have lost all trace of his accent after just 4 years.

I was so sad they changed it. I know that there were reasons why, but it was part of why the third movie just never hit quite the same note as the first two. It seemed more of “follow the recipe” than “follow the magic”. I think that a large part of that was Andrew Adamson being gone. I love the story of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but the film just never seemed as good as it could have been. Happy to hear Ben can still do the accent. His Caspian portrayal was my first serious crush.

As an Italian I loved the casting of Castellitto e Favino as King Miraz e Glozelle. They're wonderful actors and it's so rare to see italian actors in international movies. I wish he kept the accent in the original version but we all saw it dubbed so... XD

Maybe, in-universe, being around all these people he had been cut off from by his uncle as well as getting more educated (meaning that he was learning from all sides, not just the approved list from his uncle), he began picking up a different accent. Kind of like Michael Fassbender joking about how he tried to sound a little more like Ian McKellan, with each outing as Magneto, so the idea would be the more time Erik spent around Charles/etc., the more his accent started sounding English and the less it sounded Germanic.

I always thought it made sense for the accent to change. He’s been living in Narnia for about three years at that point so his accent would have changed at least a little. Probably would have made more sense for him to have a mix rather than a full on Narnian accent but it didn’t really shock me at all
