Excellent video on the hogan grip, simply explained without needing a uni degree to understand . I have tried the hogan grip for a month now and it is slowly coming together for me. It feels very strange at first with a weaker left hand however the beauty of this grip for me is no more monster hooks regardless of how hard I swing the club. Best wishes for 2024

Steve, great content as always. One remark: On page 26 in the caption below the illustration, Hogan mentions "The V of correct left-hand grip (a palm and a finger grip) should point to golfer's right eye". If applied, you can see two knuckles.

This reminds me more of how I swing the club. My grip is much weaker than grips I see in videos. Also I put my right hand over the top as well. It just feels more natural in my hands that way. When my lower body is working properly I can throw as hard as I want at the target and it never goes left. ONLY goes left when my tempo get too quick and I'm trying to hit an iron further than I'm able to.

How many professional golfers use Hogan's swing technique today? BTW that's a great explanation of the Hogan swing.

I use it and do have success. It does not go left but right is sometimes very available ;)

Steve another great video, thanks! Does the Hogan grip fit with the Eureka swing? I am probably using my right arm too much because I loose things left (a lot, my trouble shot looks just like your first shot... going left!).

Steve keep the Mr Hogan content coming i think he could compress granite with his 3 iron

My opinion of Hogan's anti hook "secret" is that weaker grip with making sure the elbows are pointed at the hips, or make the elbow pits point up. Absolutely will not hook.

Just return the club head back to the address position…..how you do this is up to youn

I’m interested on your thoughts as to if the gem golf trading aid helps you get the same feeling or compares to this exercise? I’m considering the trading aid as I tend to get confused as to where my hands should be in the back swing. I ask because I know you were very impressed by this trading aid

Imagine swinging a sledgehammer into the base of a wall - you will hard with both hands, more so if you have a light shaft to get the sledgehammer feeling.

Steve makes it look simple…because when we mortal golfers try this huge pieces of sod will go flying from hitting it fat.

Not my favorite Hogan lesson. I'm better off thinking of the left wrist bow at p6, then releasing the right hand.

Death move, the right hand is a resistor at impact and should not be hitting.

Why make the game of golf so complicated by analyzing everything? The only one that benefitted from an “expert” writing an instructional book was the author and the instructor that pushed the theory. Tour pros are not your average athlete!
