I was literally just thinking this its kinda chaotic at the end but quite not slow but like a quiet stream, and builds to a raging river by the end, it always feel like quite a bit like a representation of when something happens in life and you go for some tranquil beauty out and it is taken from you and you wander why and the song is sort a way that artist is processing what has happened....it has been really been speaking to me recently!!

You’ll have to sit in that pain for a minute I know it hurts so bad but it’s part of the process. Don’t drink or drug the sorrows away it only helps temporarily. I don't know why but this song just won't let me go. It's in my head. In my heart. I cannot understand how do you move on from love, how do you even start to do that. How do you cope with losing "us" and becoming just "me" when all you wish for is one more time together, one more chance, a silly joke, or a lazy sunday afternoon in bed together planning that amazing future that will never happen. Heartbreaking, really. But damn - Ben sings about it so beautifully that you almost want your heart to be broken just to relate to this masterpiece. Thank you Ben for being you and doing what you do.
@danielbutler31504 жыл бұрын
It truly is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. In time that feeling of losing the one you love develops into life itself, it no longer becomes about the person you lost, they become a distant memory. Your mind and body work together to become stronger, you build and grow and are conditioned. The pain of heartache is a deep one, but what grows from it is so much better

Time. Time is the only healer, stay strong, stay busy, mourn however you want, cry, get drunk, look at old photos what ever it takes to see you through to another day, it's a rough sea but, eventually the feelings will pass. They won't be gone, they just won't be as strong. Time. Time is the only thing. Accept that and it'll make the suffering easier knowing that at some point it's coming to an end. Just don't WASTE your precious life in mourning. Do it, but don't do it destructively. 🖤 It's all part of your story, an end of one thing is the start of another. You miss the emotion, and honestly, while it may never seem like it, you'll get that emotion with another physical presence, another person. It will happen. As Ben Howards says, keep ya head up.

I feel like BH is some kind of complex genius phenomenon functioning on a level beyond most of us, but creating masterpieces that make your soul thrash around and intensely crave to reach him. I'm not good enough with words to explain what it is that this album evokes but it's fking intense and fires up every time I come back to I Forget Where We Were. It's one of those albums you listen all the way through like you'd read a book and keeps you totally absorbed and focused on every beat and lyric, to leave you feeling kind of 'far away' after.

To the fellas: give it time, you’ll get over her. Cutting contact forever is the first step. I’m sorry, but it has to be done and you know it. It will get better, but you can’t ever see or speak to her again. Quit your job. Move away. Change schools. Whatever it takes. You’ll stop seeing her. Then you’ll stop talking about her. Then you’ll stop thinking about her. Then, at long last, you’ll stop loving her. Then, years later, you’ll come back to this song and it won’t hurt anymore to listen to it. You’ll just have a memory of a person who you used to love and is now a stranger.
@plantdesigns7889 Жыл бұрын
So true. I haven't talked to her in 3 years. I can still perfectly see her eyes, that infectious smile, and the way her lips would slightly turn up as if she was going to grin while she was day dreaming about something. But it finally doesn't hurt if I talk about her. The song that got to me the most about her was 3 libras by A Perfect Circle.
