Just getting round to watching it now Paul, stunning production again🎥👍🏔 views were amazing and the drone footage showed exactly how remote and beautiful these hills are. I had similar conditions last April and the views over to Cairn Toul and the rest are superb. I found it hard going ploughing thru the snow as well. You’ve just gotta be out on the hills on a day like that, well gel.glad you got conditions to fly the drone as the footage was superb. Cheers mate, Frank.👍🏔☀️

This all came about as an unhappy accident Linda. Got my new drone which wouldn’t work on my old phone. Got a new phone to work my drone…iPhone 13. Left my GoPro at home by mistake one day and used the phone handheld 👍. Since then I have bought a wee phone holder for my tripod and connection for the rode wireless mic! GoPro has almost become redundant. Looking forward to a few days away although my knee is still a bit sore! 🥴 fingers crossed. Thanks for watching again and thanks for the comments! Cheers. Paul

Great video Paul, your videos have came on leaps and bounds from your early ones. It's a great route that eh on a great day like that. One thing can i say mate is i don't know what you use to film it but the focus seems out to me at times. Is that deliberate? It's like it's showing you clearly but in the background seems a bit fuzzy. Anyway well put together apart from that stripey top. You must've got that for a Xmas present 😉🤣🤣🤣
@PAADVENTURES12 жыл бұрын
Cheers Stevie! Hopefully getting a wee bit better all the time! I had watched your video of this area and couldn’t wait to head up there. I have been using my phone recently to film and it does this cinematic thing where it blurs out the background intentionally! Do you think it’s a distraction? You can turn it off? I like the constructive criticism Stevie! What do you think? 🥴love that wee too! It’s my new thing! Stripey top guy! 😂😂😂 I picked up a wee sore knee last week and I am having to take this weekend off. You ever picked up injuries like this? Paul

@@PAADVENTURES1 for me personally Paul i prefer it without blurring the background. I like to see the views in the background as well whenever you are talking to camera. Only my personal opinion. Morning Callum. As a rule of thumb I would be taking my crampons and ice axe with me for several weeks yet. The route I took on this hill has most gentle slopes. My advice would be to take them and not need them rather than need them and not have them. With the mild weather we have been having you might find all the snow has gone but take them all the same! @PA ADVENTURES Which month is this filmed? How is this hike in March, is it safe for beginner/intermediate hiker without special equipment?
@PAADVENTURES111 ай бұрын
Hi there, this was filmed in January. I would say that this hike is quite tough and in March it could be as difficult if not more difficult if there are late snows. If there was a very mild winter and the snow goes then it potentially could be easier. Personally I usually look to carry crampons and ice axe through to at least April. I guess what I’m saying is that it’s a fairly strenuous walk and conditions would dictate what specialist equipment you would need! Paul

@IvorsTravels2 жыл бұрын
@@PAADVENTURES1 I was 14 on my first visit and we had gone to try to ski! There was a lift up Cairngorm and I remember a cafe up there. I have been back a few times. My last visit was about five years ago and it was so much more developed. We just had a walk into the corries then up onto Cairngorm. The first visit to the two summits was a bit (a lot) of a cheat as we walked from the top of the lift to Ben Macdhui and back. While I don`t remember everything I do remember the weather closing in and there being a white out. I have a slide somewhere of me holding an ice axe with nothing in view around me. The lift had stopped so it was a walk down. I know also that it was Christmas and we camped at Loch Morlich (tents). We were part of a rock climbing group who enjoyed a bit more. It was a bit of an adventure for us. It turned out it was the first of quite a few "wee" adventures. I just wish that digital photography had been around back then. I said a couple of weeks ago that you are creating a great record that in years to come you will look back at and be able to enjoy. I have thousands of slides which are just not the same as what we can record now. Keep enjoying as much as possible. I know I will.
