It's such a shame what they are doing to kids in govt schools. It's a very simple concept, as Mr Roger's states. It's despicable the indoctrination, but more so that it has become a political issue and that parents are being attacked by this administration's injustice dept if they speak out at BOE meetings. They are deemed domestic terrorists. No matter what your political affiliation, everyone should be horrified about what is going on in our country.

I remember watching Sesame Street then Mr Rogers was on right after that. I bet I saw every episode made of both shows. That’s when kids TV actually taught you something besides this sh*t they have on kids TV now. I bet there wouldn’t be all the school shootings today if programs like these came back. Even the shows with all the so called “violence” like coyote and roadrunner. It taught us not to stand next to a rock with 50lbs of Acme TNT under it to try to squish the roadrunner or the rock will fly up in the air land on top of us. 😂

It wasn't commentary on the existence of transgenders and people trying to take his words out of context to push an agenda he never would have agreed with is absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to his name. He was an incredibly kind person who would have treated any trans person with respect, and at most, curiosity. He would have tried to learn about them and the way they felt. Not judged them.

I’m a pretty radical left-wing “woke” trans person and seriously none of us are offended. This was the sixties, poor man is just trying his best with the knowledge they had at the time. Mister Rogers was an outspoken pacifist who loved everyone and actually advocated for the breaking of rigid gender roles in his show. For example, in one episode about daddies who work with hammers and nails and mommies who knit, he ended the video by saying that some men can do great things with yarn too and some women are great with hammers and that that’s ok
