Yeah except Omniverse isn’t canon. It’s got different writers, an unrecognizable art style, and they literally retconned everything. The Ben in Omniverse is nothing like the Ben at the end of Ultimate Alien, they erased all of his characters growth. So I always say the original show ended with Ultimate Alien and Omniverse is just a completely different take on the franchise with a completely different canon from the original 3 shows.

@@spidergameryt4557 I could live with the art style despite not liking it, and I even tried to live with some of the retcons, but what eventually pushed me out of the franchise was the tone change. Ben matured so much throughout Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, but Omniverse got rid of all of that just to make Ben more marketable to younger kids so they could sell more toys. I grew up with the franchise and matured as it matured, so having all of that character growth be completely reset was like a slap in the face for me. The tone was too overly silly and made me feel embarrassed to call myself a Ben 10 fan. The show was essentially a reboot in every possible way, it introduced new characters, drastically changed old characters, and changed the whole direction of the show. It’s what’s considered a “soft reboot”. So the original shows are technically canon to its backstory (aside from the retcons) but it isn’t necessarily canon to the original shows story. It was not the intended direction of the characters and stories that the other shows left off on. UAF Ben would never have ended up like OV Ben if it was following the original canon and story. So in my mind the show ended when Ultimate Alien ended. That was the last time I really felt like a fan of the franchise and everything after was very clearly intended for a different audience. I’ll admit I haven’t seen the later seasons of Omniverse, I stopped watching around probably the 2nd or 3rd seasons. The multiverse stuff looked interesting but not enough for me to get back into the show that had insulted my love for the franchise. If you like it that’s great, but I really don’t understand how someone can watch the whole franchise and see all that development and then just accept it all being flushed down the drain in Omniverse.

Using Ascalon to defeat Dagon-Vilgax only fueled his Ego. While there are some minor inconsistencies, even UAF was not completely accurate to classic so it's acceptable.
