Thank you for your kind support. As a Protestant, you have a brotherly love that this so-called Pope completely lacks. Francis despises faithful Catholics and the Catholic Church, and he is doing everything he can to destroy the Church from within by abusing his authority. It's a tragic irony. Remember that the Pope is Christ's servant, while the Head of the Catholic Church is still Christ. Francis appears to have forgotten this truth. When the Pope attacks the faith and fails to protect it, his authority ends.

As a devout Catholic, I will say the Pope speaks very confusing and circular without being specific. It makes me question EVERYTHING he says. Like what Father said, the Pope isn't the Oracle of Delphi. People believe the Pope is supposed to be like a guru, but the Catholic Church has never taught that. Same with all priests. They are not gurus.
@No_Comply Жыл бұрын
But you have to see how this becomes conflicting for Catholics. The pope holds the highest earthly office, and is the Vicar of Christ; as such, he needs to be clear and truthful with his words. I'm just now getting back into the Catholic faith, and while I'm not opposed to Church tradition, it pains me to see people drawn away from Christianity because of inaction, indolence, and ambiguity on behalf of Christian leaders, including the pope. No one is a "guru," but this is the man we entrust to maintain the integrity of the Universal Church.

@@No_ComplyNope, the Pope is not entrusted to maintain the integrity of the Church. That's Our Lord's job. Besides, what do you mean by "maintain the integrity of the Universal Church"? If you mean the Church on Earth is supposed to be perfect in every way or else it's not the True Church, then that's also not what the Church teaches. We are in a fallen world and the integrity of the Church on Earth will always be attacked from the inside and the outside. It won't ever be perfect. Even during St Paul's time the Church had been plagued by controversy and scandal. As for the people who were drawn away from Christianity due to bad leaders, they are the victims of the sin of scandal and must be prayed for; but you cannot avoid such things from happening in a fallen world.

There is legitimate spiritual good in the practice of trying to save the Holy Father's words, even when he's not formally teaching. A Pope should be the first to be Clear about what he says and leave no room for "mis-whatever" his very murky words (if you want to be nice to the point of naiveté), because he is our Lord's appointee. Unfortunately, it seems that in these days, everyone strives to blend in as much as possible and run away from speaking the Truth, from teaching the Gospel and paint a very visible line that marks where the Catholic Church stands; with Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome, yes. Just leave the sins out. Those are not welcome. There are those that call themselves Messianic Jews, they were raised Jewish and embraced Jesus later in life. This group would certainly recognize themselves as such. And the Old Testament is the Torah and Tenach and that’s pretty Jewish too 😂…but it’s true that in modern times the two faiths don’t align as much as they used to. I will be honest, if their usage of this term implies an increase in proximity between jews and christians, it is not a bad thing, centuries of bad blood between us and we do want them to convert eventually. I agree that if it's used trying to subvert Christianity as "the same as Judaism", it is a bad term. I personally wouldn't use it, but given the context, it seems to be the former use, of proximity.

@@prolifevoter7356 Ideology is an artificial belief construct that often leads to sectarianism and even cult-like mentality. In the US, for instance, political ideology often takes precedence over doctrine. For instance, we have seen US bishops lamenting what they perceive as a shift toward “Marxism” in the Church, whereas such conviction is pretty much laughed off in the rest of the Catholic world. We have seen conservative US Catholics approach the issue of illegal immigration with the same hostility as displayed by their favorite political affiliation, rather than taking the biblical view of solidarity and acceptance. More specific to the pope’s comments, Ideology is also the insistence that a particular traditional liturgical practice (such as TLM) is superior to a more modern interpretation and must be defended at all costs, including the possibility of generating divisions and schisms. This is the conviction that the “form” of our faith is as important as its “content”; something the Church never taught.

There is no way anyone can discern whether Bergoglio is speaking his heresy as pope or personally as Bergoglio without some secret gnostic knowledge. Furthermore Fr. Charron is ignoring reality. Bergoglio literally gave approve for divorce and remarried to receive communion in his official acts. This is an extreme heresy. Kind of hard for Fr. Charron's argument to make any sense here.

In your several posts, you have made good points that should be taken into account by Catholics. I think a lot of Catholics fail to recognize that there are not just two levels of papal teaching: stuff that's dogmatic and stuff that's just his off-the-cuff opinion. We do need to be able to recognize that even though 99.999999% of papal statements ever made are not dogmatic, it doesn't mean we can just throw them out and ignore them. Papal encyclicals, even when not dogmatic, are an important part of the development of Catholic secondary doctrine. There is a question that I do think, though, that more reactionary elements have a point on as well: that climate change is a matter of science, not faith + morals. The Pope has authority on faith + morals, but not science. So these people might say "Well, yes, off course poisoning, burning, drowning, killing livestock, withering crops, drying up water is wrong, but the scientific community is off on this, what I'm doing isn't causing that." And so then the debate gets more complicated. The goal for environmentalists changes to a scientific one rather than a religious one, where they must convince these people that their activities are all causing the effects you have mentioned. Which is obviously what the whole environmental debate over the past fifty years has been about...

Hello Michael, Please consider the Church teachings on loss of papal office due to heresy. St Robert Bellermine: "...for men are not bound, or able to read hearts; but when they see that someone is a heretic by his external works, they judge him to be a heretic pure and simple, and condemn him as a heretic." St. Alphonsus Ligouri, Doctor of the Church: "If ever a pope, as a private person, should fall into heresy, he would at once fall from the Pontificate." St. Francis De Sales, Doctor of the Church: "Now when he [the Pope] is explicitly a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church…" St Antoninus: "In the case in which the pope would become a heretic, he would find himself, by that fact alone and without any other sentence, separated from the Church." Pope Leo XIII, Satish Cognitum: "If anyone holds to a single one of these [heresies] he is not a Catholic" … "No one, therefore, unless in communion with Peter can share in his authority, since it is absurd to imagine that he who is outside can command in the Church." Pope Paul IV wrote the bull, Cum Ex Apostolatus, which is about the possibility of a heretic being elected pope. It was specifically written for people living during the abomination of desolation, which occurs in the holy place (a Catholic Church is a holy place). (Mt 24:15.) "that if ever at any time it shall appear that any Bishop…Cardinal or Roman Pontiff, has deviated from the Catholic Faith or Fallen into some heresy: (i) the promotion or elevation, even if it shall have been uncontested and by the unanimous consent off all the Cardinals, shall be null, void and worthless. Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporus Christi "Actually, only those are to be included as members of the Church who have received the laver of regeneration and profess the true faith." Galatians 1:8-9 "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.” Francis professes the following: All men are saved, the Quoron is a holy book, Martin Luther had good intentions on justification, there are non-Catholic saints, homosexual "marriage" is acceptable, it is a grave sin to convince people of the Catholic faith. If you consider Francis a Catholic and the pope, you must also consider him to profess the true faith. Are those outrageous statements professions of the true faith? You must profess the true faith and be baptized to be a member of the Catholic church. Also, if anyone teaches a false gospel, he is anathema. (Galatians 1:8-9) Please think about this carefully and pray for the truth. I recommend watching the videos on my playlists for crucial information. Sincerely
