Ben, the Jeremy Renner commercial is referencing the fact that he got hit by a snowplow and has been recovering the last year, so now he “feels good”. It’s not great because there is no music, but it’s just highlighting he’s okay.

You missed what the Silk commercial was. Renner is jumping and dancing and singing "I feel good" because he almost died breaking numerous bones in the snowplow accident. But by drinking Silk with Vitamin D his bones are good hence the "good for bones" quote at the end. Stupid commercial but there was a point

I hate fake milk, but the Silk commercial is so wholesome. Jeremy, almost a year after his near-death accident, doing his own stunts (he's known for more than just Hawkeye), enjoying his life (cuz who doesn't sing in their kitchen without music every once in a while) and spending time with his daughter. Plus the commerical was actually about the product at least.

I agree. I thought it was cute as well. It focused on almond milk being vitamin heavy, which is it, which is why it’s a good replacement for milk if you can’t drink milk. I do think the lack of music is a miss, even if you wanted to focus on renner, just the music behind his singing would have been fine.

Ok, so you missed the biggest part of Jeremy Renner's ad. He says "ya know, just getting my thing back" and there's a quick reference to a year in there. Because a year ago he couldn't walk after being crushed by a 7 ton Snow Cat. He actually switched to Silk in real life then for extra protein. I'd switched about five years ago because my nephew, a surgeon, said no sugar and milk is high in natural sugar that almonds don't have. I thought the taste of unsweetened was close enough and I grew up on a farm with cattle. That ad is a big win. Plus, the daddy/daughter time. It's a good dad example.

My testimony: After being an atheist for 8+ years, and "married" to another female, I got the urge one day to say out loud "IF there is an Almighty God that does NOT wish us pain or sorrow, please bring me truth, I wish to know you exist". Then God immediately started bringing me the answers I had been searching 8-11 YEARS for! I witnessed Him take control of my internet and the rest of my reality; He first proved to me that demons exist (I called them "inter-dimensional beings"), then He proved His own existence, which I later found to be Jesus Christ. As soon as I found Jesus at the end of 2020, He IMMEDIATELY took away my transgenderism, bisexuality, depression, daily suicide attempts, self harm, bulimia and anorexia; and He did this all without me asking Him to, because THAT'S how merciful and loving He is! Praise God! No, I'm not lying or trolling, and I'm not a robot. Just want more souIs in Heaven. 2/10/2024

Changing your mental framework will do that. I found God but lost him in the false teaching of all the different religions. Etc. There's just no way God would let us be as we are today. No way he'd let us falsely worship and idolize, etc, etc. And I mean, why did he let us live in darkness through the prehistory of cavemen and shit? Why did he let other religions form? Why not just show us the truth and guide us to love and light? Free will? He doesn't have to force us, just show us. To test us? That's a dick move. Imagine "testing" if your kid knew you were it's parent without ever telling them. It's the equivalent of your deadbeat dad finally coming back with the milk, and expecting you to remember him, and remember him fondly.

@@Truth_Teller_101 You asked a lot of questions that can only be answered in a detailed fashion or I risk being called flippant or uncaring. So prepare for a long response, or just ignore it and move on. That's fine too, but you asked, so here you go in case you were actually asking in good faith. This is all 100% honest, you can disbelieve me if you want - I don't really care. But here it is. My 'across the street' neighbors are an elderly retired couple who love the Steelers and give my step-son a hard time (jokingly) because he loves the Browns. We bring them food whenever we make too much, they love my wife's soup. My next door neighbor passed away recently, he loved motorcycles and his garage was HUGE, I've never seen a garage that big in a simple single family home. His relatives moved in after he passed. We haven't had a chance to meet them too much yet, but they seem nice. They have 2 dogs my dog loves to play with through the fence. The next neighbor was an older lady who shared a name with my wife's deceased mother. She was VERY sweet to us and dog-sat our Corgi whenever we have to leave town for a day or two. She recently bought a camper and moved out west. She sold her house to a realtor who is fixing it up and flipping it. He seems like a nice guy but he doesn't live there as a primary residence so he's not around a lot. The next neighbor was a kind of shut in who was very sick for a long time. She never answered the door, but ambulances showed up 3 or 4 times since we moved in about 3 years ago. We assume she passed away because some people moved all of her things out about a year back, but I don't think anyone has moved in because no cars are ever there and we don't see anyone go in or out. The next neighbor isn't so nice I don't think. He used to live with a girlfriend and her kids, but they left because he was abusive. The cops even showed up in the middle of the night once to arrest him. It's a bummer the kids left because they were the only kids on our street my stepson's age. (Yes, a lot of our neighbors moved/died, it's a bummer but we live in a VERY elderly area). Next question, family: I had to silence a group chat with my family today because my Uncle makes these huge chats with like 20 people and my phone will be buzzing ALL DAY. It gets really annoying. My cousin had double knee surgery recently but is recovering well. My other cousins are a social influencer (I don't really dig that), a small time but successful comedian, and a family man who lives in Chicago - they are all doing fantastically well and all are raising kids. We share pictures. I haven't seen my Aunt in about 3 years, since my daughter was born. It makes me sad because I used to go down there (Texas) all the time, but the little one is 3 and she gets violently motion sick. I don't like to go anywhere without my family because we rarely get to do vacations and I would feel guilty going without them. We're planning on trying to do a trip this summer though. That Aunt was in the same group chat I mentioned though :) I don't really follow celebrities. If I had to pick a few I like, it would be Ryan Reynolds and Keanu Reeves, for the same reasons everyone loves them, and I admire Rick Moranis because he dropped his fame to take care of his children when he had a horrible loss. Those guys are pretty cool, but I don't really know anything about them unless it's in the news. I don't know why you latched onto the idea that I'm some gross gossip column addict, I just commented that it's nice to see someone who was hurt doing better. Please don't be so angry. There are good people out there.
