What made it strange was, she was at one time the president of the ACLU. They're for free speech but they're incredibly liberal -- must be a tough position for the union.

I saw a black lady driving a tesla the other day. I wonder how she overcame all the systemic racism in our culture. 🧐
@ebalicious17753 жыл бұрын
I'm not going to let you get away with that ignorance. The easiest and most efficient way to begin the discussion of systemic racism, begins with a history lesson. After the Civil War, black Americans had obtained the right not be owned as slaves. Many of them were still treated terribly and faced significant segregation and oppression, not just by average people, but from other entities such as the police. And keep in mind that for 80 years, black Americans still had a vote that was only 3/5th that of a white American. Continuing along the timeline, we skip to the Civil Rights Movement. During that time, racial prejudice had reached an all time high. These people were still treated terribly and held little to no generation wealth. This is extremely important when considering the fact that white Americans had the ability to obtain generational wealth without being systemically oppressed. And keep in mind that 30 years before the Civil Rights Act was passed, redlining became an effective way to herd black Americans into cities that were underfunded, over policed, and uncared for. This has remained a constant problem from black Americans, and was only exacerbated during the Reagan presidency when he announced the "War on Drugs." And believe it or not, the median income of Black families declined by 5.2% and the number of poor black Americans, increased by 2.2%. Continuing, he signed the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, which established minimum sentencing for drug crimes and led to the mass incarceration of Black Americans. All of the things that I have stated here are factual and are the exact reason why only 87% of Black Americans have a High School graduate, have an "Average Net Worth" of $9,211, $1,000 worth of "Assets at Financial Institutions," $9,000 worth of "Stocks and Mutual Fund Shares," and $2,725 worth of "Net Worth Excluding Own Home." And just for comparison, the White American "Net Worth," is a staggering $103,963. To say that there isn't a clear sign of systemic racism involving African Americans is a lie that has been perpetuated by many people who want an easy solution to the problem. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

@SuhaibZafar3 жыл бұрын
@@ebalicious1775 Yours is what we call univariate analysis. You're solely blaming ONE factor out of a possible MANY for the statistic that Blacks have a disproportionate disadvantage when it comes to NW (net worth). That's nice on paper, but cannot be true given reality is complex and a multitude of factors come into play.
@ebalicious17753 жыл бұрын
@@billymurray705 If you were to control "f" this doc and type in black you will see something that is extraordinarily clear. Black father are incredibly active with their children. In many cases, they're even more active than white fathers. www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr071.pdf And if you have a problem with my data, you'll have to argue with the literal CDC. I won't tell you that there isn't no problem with the "black culture" but it is certainly not the leading factor. This whole black culture argument seems to be a dismissive way to propagate the idea that it's only black people's fault for having such low generation wealth, among other things.

Yes. It’s straight-up political discrimination, which is illegal. It was astounding me to see this happen in class after class.

Ben Shapiro actually said when he attended Harvard, he had to write like a Communist to graduate at the top of his class. Very nicely (because I really didn’t want to get kicked off campus) I tried to correct him on the actual meanings of the texts he had misinterpreted and tried to explain that churches are actually the ultimate safe spaces, but I was shocked at how quickly I was shot down and ‘corrected.’ It was extremely disheartening and actually humiliating.

@Slumpy Boy I wouldn't say it doesn't exist, but not in the way that the left makes it out to be. A example of systemic racism to me would be the fact that whites and Asians have marks deducted(Asians more so then whites) while blacks get marks added when it comes to getting into colleges and such, another example is the law(I believe) that Temps companies to hire more based on diversity to get tax cuts. Then you also have a huge systematic sexism when it comes to father's rights to kids, divorces, and all that shit. So yah I'd say it exist but not like they say it does.

@@entium1 Discrimination is a part of racism. What I said about the colleges and the tax cuts are rules and or laws based entirely on race, that either hurts or helps based entirely on skin color not work put in. and what is discrimination based on race.... well that's racism. What is discrimination based on sex/gender.... well that's sexism. It's bullshit that for example. Let's say a black kid scored 8 points and a asian kid scored 10. That black kid gets 3 points added based on he's black so he is now at 11 which he did not work for or have the knowledge to obtain. Now that Asian kid who scored a bit above that black kid now has 3 point deducted from his score. So he now has a score of 7. Let's say they both wanted into a collage that only accepts 9 points or higher. Well now that Asian kid can't get into the collage that he worked for and has the knowledge to be successful in, all because the color of his skin. Now that black kid who never had the score or knowledge allowed to enter is now able to enter, which means he won't do as well as he should because he is in a school that above his skill set. This simultaneously hurts that black kids future, that Asian kids future, and even the colleges themselves get hurt by this. I mean neither of us are wrong on it as racism has two meanings, 1) being that someone of a particular race has specific characteristics, which are used to say if they are inferior or superior. 2) being discrimination, prejudice, or antagonism based on the race of said person. Both of these two definitions go hand and hand, unlike the so called definition that the left wants to replace these with as being pretty much those but power and numbers as well, so that they can get away with being racist to whites and say they are not racist because they are a minority and have no power ect..... but they don't realise power and number of people have nothing to do with racism. By their logic I can say any kind of racist thing I want as long as I stand in Africa or china im not being racist. But that is when their double standards come in, and I would be held to the original definitions and not their bullshit definition.

And yet, ideas like UBI, a basic life free of charge, is far fetched in a modern society benefiting from a nearly completely automated work force. The second a virus happens tho, you expect the homeless, the drug addicts, the small businesses, landlords whom weren't bailed out neither this time (large companies are already getting bailouts while no one has gotten anything from the government other than promises) only to see the banks bailed out and not pay for not following the rules, ever. Yet they expect us, either drug addicts or scraping by month to month (70% of americans can't afford an unplanned 500 dollar bill) to follow the rules at our own detriment, knowing their won't be a silver lining. We'll just take the burn in place of the too big to exist corporations. How about think critically out of self respect and respect for others not just when it's too late. Compassion is a deterrent and a healing gesture. Greed is hurtful to both parties.

This is why i cant be a leftist anymore. Sometime in or around 2014, leftism changed from a philosophy of tolerance to one of hating those who dont tolerate certain things. In 2012, if two leftists disagreed on something they could acknowledge their differences and move on. Just a few years later, those same leftists couldnt disagree about anything without one calling the other a nazi, bigot, sexist, or a -phobe. I cannot be a part of that. Thats why i didnt leave leftism. Leftism left me.

CJ and Franklin from GTA were great characters and were well written which is why nobody batted an eye at them. "Are you an agitator?" So let's go right to the character assassination. Way to go. Also, that's a loaded term because all someone has to do if feel agitated and that automatically makes you an agitator.

I know right! People become like cry babies if they feel offended. People calling other people racist, deplorable, etc. People need logic lol 😂

Not even that--the conversation was immediately twisted into framing the people who exhibit these behaviors and totalitarian perspective as victims.
@cadenceew79334 жыл бұрын
Your logic is faulty and my day has been sourly ruined by it. It’s not a loaded question by your own logic, it’s just a dumb one. Are you an agitator? Well if what you mean by that question is that I agitate people, then yes you are correct. If we are then to use that definition on anyone in this room as a way to punish or morally downplay their opinions then we might have a fucking problem. It’s like your playing the “victim card” instead of using logical arguments. Huh where have I seen that said before? Please reply with a logical argument! Thanks!
@cadenceew79334 жыл бұрын
Nathan Schake ikr it’s almost like complaining that it’s character assassination or something because they’re offended by a dumb question. It’s like people need logic to explain why they’re opinions or they’re just straight up complaining right? Damn that kinda counters your claim a little bit huh? Well please respond with the logic that people so very much need, you warrior of logic you! Thanks!

the system they have planned for the future requires no skills.......but first they want to destroy and demolish every single fabric of society until the point it is so fractured it can never return and the only alternative is what they offer.

The main reason is that college is designed to produce more ideological leftists. It accomplishes it via a variety of methods. One such reason is that individuals with student loans are unable to declare bankruptcy. This radically reduces the risk of loans for lenders making more students able to be funded to go to college. In addition, if you can get the student to go into a useless field they are likely to pay you interest for decades. Another primary reason is the influence of Progressive education from the turn of the century lead by John Dewey, that advocated that purpose of schooling was not the development of knowledge, and the proper methods of conceptualization but instead to socialize the child, and have him adapt to his peers. To make him a useful to "society". Finally the other main reason was the large-scale failure to offer an alternative system for educating our youth. The main alternative that needs to be promoted is the Montessori Method. It ideal for a numerous reasons, among them include the speed as which early children are able develop quickly, the proper hierarchical structuring of knowledge, and the presentation of the knowledge conceptually instead of as isolated concrete facts. Hope that offers some of the reasons even though I think your question is probably rhetorical.
