The best way to learn how to do an exercise is to watch an experienced athlete doing it, and through your videos one could see how many champions do different variations of the exercises and thus know what forms are, to a certain extent, acceptable for every one! Still impressive strength, but he even had elbow wraps on one arm atleast, his max would probably be about 405 for a single rep with decent form without the elbow wraps and bouncing of the chest
@makingwaves12394 жыл бұрын
@@shlok-vp4xr : If he was concerned about making his chest muscles work, he should leave his ego behind and do a full stop at the bottom before pressing the weight up. It is much heavier, and it work really good at putting the right amount of stress on the muscles. Rest, food and drugs does the rest.

Notice how most the pros don’t lock the elbows out until near the end of the set. Keeping that constant tension on the chest and getting that pump
@Kiko6Kiko5 жыл бұрын
And also because locking the elbows creates high pressure on the shoulders and the elbows itself. If you want to prevent injuries you better be not locking them:D
@Boy_Gentle5 жыл бұрын
You can see what a really bad form is when you watch Branch Warren bench press. That’s probably how he incurred injuries. Kevin Levrone, Doren Yates, Arnold Schwarzenegger...are all good examples of how to lift
@matthart77713 жыл бұрын
Just something I’ve noticed from watching this. The guys with the widest chest are using a very wide grip, Arnold, Markus Ruhl and Ronnie Coleman. And in my opinion Arnold’s and Ronnies are the best. The closer the grip the forearms and upper arms seem very well developed. Seems weird than two of the best ever with narrow chests ie Lee Priest and Phil Heath either have a problem with the wide grip movement or are oblivious that they have tight little chests and wide grip may help. It almost seems like a phenomenon that no one else is talking about this
@goncalotome17912 жыл бұрын
The ideal is a balance, neither too wide nor too close, the bar has marks where to put your hands. For example, markus ruhl had small tricps, while phiel has huge tricps, so the ideal is to have a balance putting your hands on the bar marks
