I know this is a different sport, but in soccer if you slide into someone cleats up, you’re out of the game. A studs up slide is almost always intentional. I am the second basemen of my high school baseball team, and seeing the slide by the runner into second gave me chills. It is already dangerous enough getting taken out by a runner, but when the runner comes in with his spike up and gets the fielder right in the ankle? It is unacceptable.
