Don't let the assist turn you off too much from any particular assisted Benchmade you might want; you can de-assist most (if not all?) of those models and turn them into a standard axis lock. And, per a recent comment I saw from BMK customer service on a forum, they will still life-sharp service it for you!

I bought the knife online not knowing about the lock or spring open assist, not a fan of either feature, took the knife apart removed both put back together with lock tite in appropriate places in small amounts and love the knife now it took me 5 minutes to do!
@JCOwens-zq6fd Жыл бұрын
Its cool they added a lock. Though id like it better if the switch were on the side like the lock on my Gerber Auto 6. Some may say having it on the side isnt as good but the fact that you dont risk accidently unlocking it when putting in your povket b/c you pull the switch backward toward you to lock it in "safe" irons out most issues in daily use. Except for the weight of the auto 6 that is. Thing is a chunk due to its all steel back spacer/glassbreak combo.

Whats the point of a huge knife, machete, axe, and sword collection if I have to keep it all locked up away from my kids? I find myself sneaking away to fondle a knife for a minute or two at a time, several times throughout the day. You have small kids, right? How do you store your collection? How do you find personal time to play with yourself?...I mean, play with your knives by yourself.

While we’re all telling each other our life stories, I’m drinking some really shitty Yuban coffee right now. Its putridity is balanced by its effectiveness as a wakefulness agent, therefor making it a wash. My left testicle has a slight ache, I wonder if I should have it checked out? String cheese is a legitimate snack, even for adults. My daughter likes PJ Masks, so I spend a lot of time pretending to be Cat Boy.
@michaelmackey9766 жыл бұрын
my daughter in fact also likes pj masks , good job being an advanced pj masks bro . string cheese can be tricky , i too buy only the 3.89 expensive version simply because when a legit snack must be made of cheese price is not an option . i have also found disney character cheese to be , while shaped like a mickey head , shit in quality and is like eating boneless wings .......you just dont do that as and advanced bro . excellent review of my comment btw . and remember that coffee is dual . it does help you poop so not totally a wash .

This video isn't even 10 minutes. You can't even put an ad at the end and at least 3 breaks inside. What are you even doing? Aside from that, the unboxing question is actually more interesting than just a throwaway joke. I've done a few (very few) but they garned more views than they deserve, by far and sometimes more than the review. As always great work my friend.
@AdvancedKnifeBro6 жыл бұрын
My next one... I think it's 12 minutes. I had a lot of fun with it, and it should be live tonight. I see some people live stream unboxings... I just don't have the time for that- also I wouldn't watch that and my policy is to not make videos I wouldn't watch myself.
@alittleolder6 жыл бұрын
Yeah but unboxings are immensely popular. Don't ask me why. And so easy to make. You put the camera looking down on the table and: here there is some package material, and here ohh that's nice,, oh yeah.. stroke the tip.. hey wait.. well anyway.. wow it's a great knife and with all the long experience I've had since I unpacked it 2 minutes ago I can give you some really comprehensive information. Of course even in the review I will not have tested it because I couldn't sell it as unused otherwise... that's kinda how I see unboxings which also explains why I don't do them. Although with you, where I watch every video just because they are good and well made, unboxings just wouldn't fit.. although you could do one in your usually very serious way of making videos. That would actually be a great idea. Damn.. I should steal it from me.. but now I've already typed it.. ah nevermind.. but please do that... I am sure that would make you a lot of new friends...

Axis lock makes you wonder why an otf is even necessary. It’s just as fast or faster in deployment and retraction. The blade has no play. OTF just has intimidation factor and if it’s the larger kind, young kid proof lol

For standard autos- no I don’t see how they’re really any faster or more convenient than a good axis lock. Same goes for assisteds. True OTF autos are cool through because you can retract the blade with the button too.

@I0nlyRunFactory6 жыл бұрын
Nah man, I can't stand Assisted Open. To me Assisted Open actually translates to "harder to close" knives. On a BM Axis lock it just seems redundant. They already deploy quickly, and without much effort, all the assist spring (or torsion bar, I neither know nor really care how BM implemented the design) does is makes the knife awkward in closing. Advanced Knife Bro really nailed it on his description of the first impression. The knife opens 1% faster, and closes 500% slower. Seems like they actually took a step backwards in terms of innovation on this.

Nice blade but the rest is a bit meh. Sorry I can’t loan you a Benchmade to help with your viewership. Crowd pleaser was not and will never be my game. I prefer jackass. ;P PS: good news - still digging your style.

I wish cussing didn't get you those secret channel ratings. Oh well- destined to be a small channel I guess.
