Just a tip for everyone. It’s easier to put the pivot back in if you don’t put any screws on the scales. Do the pivot first. Then screw the body screws. Great video

This is a great tip if you hope to be fumbling with this knife for hours and end up with multiple bandaids on your hands lmao I figured that the main screws on the blade holster frame worked the best to leave in for getting the pivot in. It ends up freeing up a hand, then you use a pic to Oriente the washers as you push the pin back into place

Just replaced my scales today. My handle screws were blue loctited and came out fairly easy but the action screw had the green loctite on it. Took some heat and muscle to break it free. Not sure why they felt the need to put that on. This video however made the process easier. Thanks for the upload.

Easy pivot install: I pushed my T8 bit through the pivot hole to realign the washers to the correct position (the bit was the prefect size). While holding back the axis lock switch, remove the bit and install the pivot. It worked like a charm and this process only took me 1 minute. The rest of your tutorial worked great for me, thanks!

Nice, I bought mine in gray and picked up some black g10 scales. Started to go with the aluminum but didn’t . In the future instead of using loc tite, switch to stuck nutz. If you’re an outdoorsy person, go read some of loc tites agendas outside of producing loc tite. They advocate for closing trails for outdoor Motorsports and all kinds of other activities. When I learned of this I dropped them and went to stuck nutz. Just as good, better people. Same strength the have red and blue for most applications and some stronger stuff for anything Heavy duty.

Thanks for pointing out the flat side of pivot screw I didn't even notice that when I pulled out my pivot, would have probably taken me a long time to notice that..maybe some cursing involved to. I have a set of Glow Rhino tritium scales on the way and also I just received from Amazon a "pivot tool" that looks like a small double sided pick and it doesn't even fit the bugout and then I found out it's just as easy to use the bit to keep everything in place like you did in this video, the pivot tool was a complete waste of money.

Yeah, took both sides off and the blade and lock fell out, and two hours later I’m still trying to align everything. Really stupid. By the way, the pivot is T10. This is the third video I’ve seen where they call it a T8. P.S. Got it finally. As someone else said the blade was in the way of the pivot, and moving the lock back with my third hand helped, then I just used another thin blade to slide the second washer over. Thanks for showing the right way to do it!
