Great knife just picked mine up today. Love the dangler idea. What length of paracord did you use? Have never braided paracord but was gonna try it out. Im assuming its a snake knot

Great review. I hate the ones that involve things you will never do like cutting all thread. Or stabbing thru bricks. Real applications please. Like you did. Good job.

Hey Rev...thanks for the review of my Benchmade Bushcrafter 162...it really is a great multipupose knife. I tend to avoid putting my thumb on the spine since it bit me but it is really good at throwing sparks from my fire rod and scraping bark. Think I'm going to mod my sheath too (add a dangler --augment the retension strap)...

I bought one ...THE STOCK EDGE IS CRAP. NOBODY talks about that stock edge in their reviews imho most reviewers for this knife FAIL big time. Your review is fair you give a good review of how I feel about the knife myself. The handle is actually one of my favorite now. The design just flat works I was very surprised... That hook grabs your pinky and gives extra tork for power cuts. The handle doesn't give me arm fatigue that's a huge plus and I too really like the steel . I gave mine reprofile about 19° raised up the relief edge amd man it's awesome now. 👍

Looks like a nice knife. It was probably the first fixed blade I was attracted to a few years ago. I will say now I'd recommend LT Wright to anyone looking for a fixed blade or bushcraft knife. Have you tried them out Drew?

The reason I don't care for stainless is more about looks than performance. I would love to see acid wash or tumble finishes on stainless outdoor blades. After using them they get so scratched up . Yes it's a tool and believe me I ain't some trophy collector I use my knives ... BUT it just looks like crap and when paying $200+ I think knife makers could easily add a simple design to avoid that.

I prefer the shined look. Polished . S35vn from white river ..old backpacker pros are polished the new ones are acid washed. I prefer the polished look . Each his own. But some prefer that polished look even with my scratches and scars. I have a osborn 940 from 2006. It is so scratched but still a beautiful edge. Been sent back to benchmade once. Re-edged four times.

@@mikecarr1484 I ended buying the Benchmade bushcrafter...The edge sucks out of box , it's a pocket knife edge on a woods knife. I fixed it reprofiled a much higher relief edge and now it's wicked slicy. I do really like the handle design it's amazing. S30v is very tough stuff but takes a wicked edge . I did have to fix the handle it was so bad ...Whomever did mine was drunk that day.. If I wasn't someone who makes my own knife mods I'd have sent it back. I fixed it with a bit of sanding no issue for me and it looks awesome.
