Not long after the Maxamet Manix was released, I snapped one of the scales with a plastic bike tire pry bar getting the blade out for a swap. Edit: a Dremel is your friend, here.

Bringing a folding knife rather than a fixed blade to a survival situation is like bringing a hollow steel bat instead of a solid wooden one for home defense

… a steel bat would be better in a home defense situation as it would be far less likely to break when hitting someone.

@ okay so maybe not the best analogy but my point still stands, folders are great for EDC, but a terrible choice for long term survival

The spring on the clone actually looks thicker lol. I have some fakes and a real one. Honestly, I can't see much difference overall for 220 extra bucks. I like the Bugout but they should be a 50-75 dollar knife not 200+ especially when a Presidio II is the same price.

Why did you purposely snap the scale of the legit benchmade knife? It's not fake, it's not a clone, it just broke because you snapped it in half forcefully, lmao, it's never meant to take stress in that direction. You can tell it's legit because there is no Registered Trademark on the Bottom-Right of the Benchmade Emblem, and the fact that the bevel on the knife extends up into the thumbpin more, unlike the clones having a bevel that is more less pronounced and not extending into the thumbrest. And the clones have --- 10:48 nevermind you explained, lol. Welp.
