Deals that seem too good to be true probably are! Product shortages and high prices have opportunists cranking out counterfeit skate goods.

@@jregulatori4672 I agree, it could be a never ending game of cat and mouse but it is up to them to pursue. I bought 200 hoverboards to sell a few years ago coming up to Christmas and every couple of days my add was removed because segway complained and various outlets did not check their claims first. The only mention of them in any of my adds was that we are in no way affiliated with segway llc and after a couple of weeks my add stood. The point is they were all over it, and if we had have broken any copyright laws they would have had us in court in a flash. It was actually quite impressive how on the ball they were. The likes of bones and spitfire etc make more than enough money to be able to put teams together for this, it's protecting their customers and protecting their brand. Even an add campaign to say buy local, buy genuine or whatever. Use a unique code on each packet, then verify legitimacy online? They could do all sorts of things but at the end of the day, they're doing nothing. Instead Mr Degros is over here informing people there are fakes out there..

I would not trust fake wheels could get scary 😳. Where I have a small engine business I have a great relationship with one of my local industrial supply house, they sell bearings and all kinds of related items for industrial applications. I order my bearings from them for my skates and my scooters. They are very high quality and have been working extremely well. I actually set up my buddy when he had his skate shop in Halifax with that supplier and he sold a lot of those bearings when kids needed a couple bearings to get them going again or when they couldn't afford a new set of bones or other skate bearings. The generic stuff on Amazon is scary.

Most of my skating takes place on a campus close to me. I just figured out heelflips this week. Got a break in the snow and a day of sun to bring the temp up to about 35° and dry the sidewalks. I'm so excited because it clicked for whatever reason and I was able to repeat it. Dude how could we find out if theyre knockoffs? Anyway to email you? Im a beginner skater and i got a minilogo that had "made in china" stickers on it after the ad i got it from said "made in the usa with real canadian rock hard maple" I bought my last REAL brand deck at cowtown this past wednesday after rolling my ankle coming out of a 360 flip on the china board and tbh it rides waaayyy better, i replaced my trucks with indy 149s too.

@@Gmaaa i heard 1kg bananas good comprasion for pricing in different countrys. So any foreigner can calculate products by quantity of bananas(in kg)
@acgwestsidesb6410
@acgwestsidesb6410 Жыл бұрын
For example now 1kg bananas around 1usd=80 rubles. Spitfire F4 set around MSRP 6000 rubles(75usd*1kg of bananas = around 75kg of bananas (another way to calculate 6000rub:80rub=75). White rice pricing per 1kg will work as calculate comprasion too

Thanks Ben your awesome. Your videos are what made me skate again. I really hope that boy of yours is taking notes because this channel and the just keep skating channel are just too good to not carry on for as long as possible. Shoot maybe even Vancouver Carpenter, if he ends up a carpenter that is.

Theyre over $40 anyway when you add shipping $13.94 and taxes , so its not even an issue. Bones Swiss to one side for a minute, the brands I see on here are the ones who have moved their manufacturing to China. So how fake is fake if the real thing is made next door ?

I bought a set of Reds this summer but was underwhelmed and can definitely say they’re a lot slower than reputable skate shop-purchased Bronsons on my son’s board. I got my Reds through TGM Skateboards, an Amazon seller. They’re out of business now I think. I’ll have to get a new set of real Reds and give them another try. Bearings are the most important part of the skateboard experience I’m starting to understand.

There are two local shops in Minnesota. One shop sells Bones Swissfor $65 and the other sells them for $50. Any idea why the price is so different? They are well known in Minneapolis/Minnesota so I know they’re authentic.

Currently Spitfire F4 latest and greatest wheels (new 97a ones) cost around 92 Canadian Dollars here (60 euros), because supply is simply super low (and it's new stuff, but still. Normal price would be closer to 75 Canadian Dollars, 50 euros). If anyone wants to get Bones bearings on the cheap, be wise and just get the Mini Logo bearings instead. They are pretty much on par. In fact, I'm not a believer in spending anything over 20 bucks for bearings anyway. Yes, there are a lot of third class brands of bearings you should probably never pick up, but stuff like Independent gp-s bearings or Mini Logo bearings are excellent options on the cheap. In reality though, getting Spitfire F4 Full Conicals 99a or 101a and Bones Reds is _extremely worth the money_ . I would not recommend getting the Bones Swiss. Those bearings break too, meaning you kind of spend too much for stuff that just gets destroyed anyway.
