Second video with some tips & tricks. In this video I am showing how you can bend photo etch stairs. Just using a bending plier, tweezers and a bending tool. I am showing this on a 1/200 scale stair, but the same applies for 1/350 scale.
I hope that it will give you at least an insight into how I bend these stairs.

Thank you so much for posting this. When I first seen photo etch in my USS Indianapolis 1945 kit I was terrified of messing up on the photo etch but this really helps me out with that kit or any others.

@@NorwegianModellingBench it really is especially for when I work on my Titanic in 1/200 scale with all the stairs and photo etch I have from the KA set.

Thank you Kenneth, I will admit at trying to do the steps first then the rails. A good example of making things difficult for myself. Excellent video

Thanks John :-) I guess that is a way to go as well, but I would be afraid of those steps falling off. As long as it works for you I guess ;-)

Nice little tutorial there, Something I do when painting before bending is also put a clear coat as an extra layer to protect the paint from scratching. Cheers 😄👍

That is a great tip! It has not been required so far, but I use my time adding metal primer and primer before paint, and that seems to be sufficient. Have a great weekend! Cheers!

Thanks Ralph 😊 Yes a clear coat or some good priming does the trick if you paint the stairs before bending 👍

Thank you very much Anthony 😊 No I haven’t built Prince Eugene, no plans, but who knows what will pop up in the future. Regarding the stand; you should look at my Stands video, they come from Andrew3D.net.

I bet it is the primer that he uses. Check out the previous video on the 'Tools' he uses when managing photo etch. That Mr. (whatever - going to watch again) that seems to come in a bottle with a brush like the Tamiya Extra Thin cement looks awesome for what I am going to try. This will be my first use of photo etch. GLHF

As already pointed out, the trick is always in the prep. A good metal primer, then primer, then paint. I seldom experience any chipping.
