A major pet peeve I had with the game was Bendy himself. I was hoping he'd be more prevalent or at least more expressive, but he just felt like a cookie-cutter monster pursuer. He'd pop up every now and then, and you'd have to hide from him, that's it. Dude was about as complex as the Monsters in Amnesia, and at least those guys had an interesting backstory. I kinda wished Bendy acted cartoony to contrast with his disfigured appearance.

honestly that amount of contrast would add character and probably a deeper understanding of his character alone rather than being some monster interchangeable with a PP monster I can see him acting animalistic [in the way that ravens are] but also trying to conform to a cartoonish identity, mayhaps a mild bubbling internal crisis, which would explain why he's so aggressive

His backstory is bland and answers the few questions the game bothered to ask. You know what would be cool? Stealth sections. You have to cross a few rooms every once in a while he’s just *in* There’s no game mechanic to just get rid of him. You just have to get through and not be seen. Most horror games have something like that. You have to avoid an enemy and get across. Bendy has in game sections like that, but they’re with weaker, less intimidating enemies. The fucking MAIN ANTAGONIST does nothing in the game! Nothing at all! He’s not scary. He’s just annoying. The player is only avoiding him because they don’t want to die and lose progress. And yes, your point about him “acting cartoony” is 100% right. He walks like a person..? And his entire backstory is that he has no soul, no thoughts, no nothing. So why does he move like a human? The only thing i enjoy about him is how he looks. The designs of this game are very pretty and the little details (like twitching, for instance) are cool. I just wish they did more with the animation.

You hide, he looses track of you but almost immediately notices the mirror and tries attacking it before realizing it’s a mirror and that’s him being reflected in it. He stops for a second, looking himself over in a sullen depressingly “oh no… what have I _become_ “ type of way Then he goes to adjust his bow tie which is crooked and he can’t because his hands/arms are too shaky or something along those lines So then he gets mad at the fact (or at least that what it looks like) he can’t do that and punches the mirror in front of him; shattering it He jumps back a little when it breaks as if he wasn’t expecting that to happen and stands there for a few seconds before slinking off creepily with a hiss or cry or something

I'll admit it was a good game at the start, but with the bugs, the stupid ending, the poor working conditions, the firing of 50 employees because of the failure of Showdown Bandit, and the lies of BATDR releasing, it was only a matter of time until TheMeatly and Mike Moods past misdeeds would bite them in the ass. I'm pretty sure the half a billion dollar lawsuit had to do with the company wasting money on making Showdown Bandit merchandise that didn't sell well, as well as the deletion of Showdown Bandit from Steam. Personally, I dont blame the company for suing TheMeatly and Mike Mood. Because they could have fixed Showdown Bandit, but didn't give it a chance.

I'm generally easy to entertain when it comes to games, but the time loop plot twist really could've used some foreshadowing so it would've have been so out-of-the-blue. I was also one of the many fans who greatly empathized with Bendy and wanted a bit of a redemption arc for him XD. That's a tad unrealistic tho so I understand that not happening. But I was hoping to see more of Bendy, since he's the title character. Apart from that, I really like the game. It's my favourite of all horror games I've seen/played. Really looking forward to BATDR in spite of the long waiting time XD Edit Now that I think about it, alot of the writing could've been improved.. But to be fair it was the first game they made.

The scares were always good for me, this game in the end really sucked and the devs are not worth supporting which is sad since the new bendy game sounds like it will be good in every way for a horror game. The horror was put in great places for the first game but promises that the next game would be an upgrade in graphics and horror are great. Too bad the devs suck.

dude rewatching gameplay makes me realize this game is honestly really bland, it was definitely good during the whole indie horror craze but nowadays its just plain. similar to hello neighbor and even fnaf edit: hey! sorta late but i thought i'd explain what i meant by fnaf getting stale what i mean is for the most part, the games follow the same formula (security breach being seperate) and each one's lore is honestly super confusing and even moreso to try and put it together, along with that the later installments have been rather lackluster (ESPECIALLY security breach) and overall its getting boring, the lore still isnt making any sense and honestly this is one of the very few series that i believe is time to put down and leave it in the past, im not really sure what else people can make of it from here, yknow? it just feels bland with characters, plot and gameplay can often be tedious depending what you're doing, so that's basically my explanation and i hope it helps make more sense to you :)) also if you like the series good for you!! im glad you're able to find the good in something i cant, you enjoy what you enjoy and i'll leave ya to it, have fun with what you got stranger

Even though the gameplay isn't the most riveting, my play through of the game was still awesome. I'm a big story person, and by that I mean I look at every corner, flyer and trashcan in the game. And there is so many little details that really helped with the world building! The story of BATIM is still one of my favorites from any game to this day, and actually got me into researching more about the 1930s-40s in America! It also, with the help of Cuphead, helped me explore the world of rubber hose style art! So yes, some of the devs suck, and no theres isn't a lot of game play, but I still really love this game!

I still don't understand how granny and baldi and huggy wuggy and whoever else ended up the faces of "family friendly funtime content"

From what tangential detail I've heard of this game, as well as Stupendium songs and one of Hala's, I was expecting a Cuphead-aesthetic'd point'n'click. Kind of a bummer it's a walking sim with first person melee combat.

I speedrun this game and currently have Console WR and I could not agree more. This game (with all the bugs and glitches) has really not aged well in both its story and gameplay. It was way too hyped but I’m really hoping they possibly improve the series as a whole with the sequel. (If they release it lmao)

Am I the only one who wishes the character the game is literally named after actually kinda had more characterization??? Like in the cartoons he seems like some misbehaving naughty lil trickster like actual early cartoon characters but then somehow when he's brought into reality he's mostly some aggressive territorial animal in a slightly humanoid shape. Like yeah those do make interesting characters but that doesn't seem like a fitting direction for Bendy? Idk imagine if Bendy was actually an intelligent calculating trickster that was actually trying to hunt you down and manipulate and mislead you instead of just kinda chasing you around a bit when you happen to get too close. Like aggressive monster is cool I guess but an intelligent stealth predator is actually terrifying and way more fitting
