Such a charming man... I strongly recommend the movie. Watched it in Venice during the Festival and... yes, it's very slow paced and has got a rather complicated plot, but Benedict is simply awesome in it. Loved it.

I actually agree b/c I felt like not only did I see it coming (without reading the novel), but I was almost unaware of the reveal in its entirety....great performances, great script, great film...but maybe, and I say this in my own opinion, that is what they wanted.....in real life, you may not have such a reveal on that grander scale, but it may in fact impact in such an underwhelming way that it becomes in itself satisfactory and impressionable...I thoroughly enjoyed the film though!

I think you're right, because in the book it's written as a rather underwhelming thing for the characters, who can't seem to grasp it, or love the traitor too much to actually feel much anger (that's the way Smiley puts it). But, then, I quite liked the film!

I just saw Tinker Tailor, and as much as I love Benedict, I must admit that I found the movie amazingly underwhelming. Believe it or not, I didn't feel a smidgen of tension at any point in the movie. I've watched the miniseries dozens of times, and the scene where the mole is finally exposed gets me every time. (I feel the same about the scene in The Usual Suspects when Kaiser Soze's identity is revealed.) Frankly, the scene in the TTSS movie is so underplayed that it's an anticlimax!
