You know that Jesus Christ founded but ONE Church,(singular),two thousand year’s ago,and it wasn’t the orthodox. Only Catholic’s are the true and original Christian’s. Orthodox like protestant’s belong to CULTS,I know that’s not nice but it’s the painful truth. There’s NO salvation outside the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH founded on the infallible Rock of Peter two millennia ago! The Bible is a Catholic book. Please come home to the mystical body of Christ on earth the holy Catholic Church. Please watch the warning or illumination of conscience by Christine Watkins. Once the Greek Orthodox broke with Rome in the 4th century they became a cult. God bless.

@@simonslater9024 don't take this personally, I love my RC friends and I do truly admire many western traditions and devotions, but I think I'll pass on being in communion with an anti-pope who favours homosexual "clergy" like Martin and McCarrick, prays with heretics and heathens, and makes sacrifices to a South American pagan fertility idol. And you can't even deny any of those abominations. At least the sedevacantists have enough sense to separate themselves from such blatant blasphemy. You know, we in the Orthodox Church do have a Western Rite. You don't need to necessarily give up all your Western liturgical traditions. Perhaps you should at least come visit? May the Lord continue to bless you, and may the Holy Theotokos protect you. ☦

I have a special devotion to St. Benedict. I have a T-shirt with a large image of the medal on the front and back. It looks so cool and is very powerful. I found this out one day when I wore it to class in college. A classmate that regularly sat in front of me and would be my partner for various exercises our instructor had us do had a reaction I never expected to see when I wore the shirt one day. I showed up to class wearing a jacket that covered most of the image. He arrived late to class and quickly took his seat in front of me a desk or two between us. I needed to take off the jacket I was wearing as I was getting too warm. The time came for us to pair up for another exercise and I stood up to come to him and he didn’t realize it (there was an empty desk between us this day) so he got up to come to me and when he saw my shirt he got a terrified expression on his face and stopped dead in his tracks and then literally ran to the opposite side of the classroom. Right after that strange event a series of “accidents” happened from his end of the classroom over to mine. Books fell off desks. Items spilled, one of my other classmates who sat behind me and had several other classes with me had her iced coffee fall off her desk and spill into her purse and all of my pens and pencils I had in a pencil case fell all over the floor. After that my classmate said “what in the heck just happened?” All of this transpired over the course of 30-45 seconds. A lot of people noticed but no one aside from her said anything. By God’s grace I didn’t freak out and I just laughed. St. Benedict is my buddy now.

St. Benedict helped me win a dental case for $14k and I mean did he help. They guy who was my mediator wore a St. Benedict medal, and He assisted in the case and I had a great feeling about it, and I am so happy I won. I have a st. Benedict medal on my rear view mirror necklace of course and it reminds me each time to pray against evil, and it's fruits.

I went to church, I prayed to St Benedict, and I got a Tee-Shirt. This is one of the many reasons I left the Church. SHALLOW results. So, you've got a cool tee shirt with the symbols of St Benedict on it. Big deal. Is St Benedict, God, Yeshua Ben Nasarat, or any of the hundreds of other Catholic Angels or Saints inscribed upon your SOUL? Could you actually go out and proclaim the greatness and holiness, and salvation of God WITHOUT HAVING TO RESORT TO LOOKING INTO THE BIBLE FOR THE WORDS YOU WANT TO SAY? If you really have the spirit of God coursing through you you would have no trouble coming up with the words to say. And believe me...they wouldn't sound anything like the King James Version of the Bible....because NOBODY talks like that anymore. In fact, people didn't talk like that at the time of King James or his friend William Shakespeare.

So when he came back he gave it to me because i am soon moving to Ireland for my Phd and he thought it will be a blessing for me too. Both of us didnt know what yhe medal means but when he gave it to me said that while he was receiving the medal he thought about giving it to me and it will somehow protect me when i am away. My dad was attending the Seminary in Fon Du Lac, WI just after he was discharged from the Air Force in 1955. His intention was to become a member of the Order of St Benedict. But, as things often happen in life, he did not continue in his studies, came back to our home town, met my mom [who was obviously more attractive than a Roman Collar], and the rest is history. The thing is, dad raised us [unconsciously I'm sure] as a bunch of Benedictines. And I have to say that, for myself, I have followed those ideals and basic teachings more closely than my siblings, because to this day I cannot say that I have never found it in my heart to NOT love any person in this world, n matter who they are, or what they have done. I have been able to turn back the temptations of evil and show the world, and myself, that these things are only vanity, AND are presented to me IN VAIN.

Approved Blessing of the Medal of St. Benedict Medals of Saint Benedict are sacramentals that may be blessed legitimately by any priest or deacon -- not necessarily a Benedictine (Instr., 26 Sept. 1964; Can. 1168). The following English form may be used. V. Our help is in the name of the Lord. R. Who made heaven and earth. In the name of God the Father + almighty, who made heaven and earth, the seas and all that is in them, I exorcise these medals against the power and attacks of the evil one. May all who use these medals devoutly be blessed with health of soul and body. In the name of the Father + almighty, of the Son + Jesus Christ our Lord, and of the Holy + Spirit the Paraclete, and in the love of the same Lord Jesus Christ who will come on the last day to judge the living and the dead, and the world by fire. Amen. Let us pray. Almighty God, the boundless source of all good things, we humbly ask that, through the intercession of Saint Benedict, you pour out your blessings + upon these medals. May those who use them devoutly and earnestly strive to perform good works be blessed by you with health of soul and body, the grace of a holy life, and remission of the temporal punishment due to sin. May they also with the help of your merciful love, resist the temptation of the evil one and strive to exercise true charity and justice toward all, so that one day they may appear sinless and holy in your sight. This we ask though Christ our Lord. Amen. The medals are then sprinkled with holy water.

@SaintCharbelMiracleworker3 жыл бұрын
No we don't worship Jews. We worship God. I recommend going to the nearest Catholic Church and talk with the priest. They live near the Church if not in a building attached to the Church building,. They don't care if you aren't Catholic or even christian. He won't force you to convert, he will listen and answer any questions you have. Priests are great listeners and drop the most unexpected gems and pearls of wisdom for us to contemplate or action.I love our priest, he's a millennial but he has a lot of wisdom already for his young age.

They must be what I do not hesitate to call 'heroic' catholic families.Ordinary catholic families are no match for the devil as he uses media of communication to secularize and desacralize modern society.No less than ordinary individual catholics can survive,so ordinary catholic families cannot survive.They have no choice. They must either be holy- which means sanctified - or they will disappeared". Fr John Hardon S.J Many Catholics easily stray away from the faith that they received. What are the reasons for their falling into complacency, becoming indifferent and even hostile towards Christ and the Christian Faith? The fault with many Catholics is that they think baptism is a graduation from having acquired knowledge and understanding of their faith. After completing their catechism classes or RCIA journey, they no longer seek out opportunities to continue growing their faith, both doctrinally and spiritually. Their only occasion to grow in faith is the one-hour Mass that they attend every Sunday. This is hardly enough to sustain the life of a Catholic. Those who do not grow in their faith are already losing their faith. There is no neutrality. How, then, can we grow in our faith? Firstly, we need to deepen our intimacy with God through Christ. In Christ, we come to know and love the Father. Secondly, we must be rooted in the Word of God. We cannot grow in our faith without deepening our love and appreciation for the Word of God through bible study and most of all, a prayerful reading and sharing of the Word of God. Thirdly, we must seek the support of the Christian community. A Catholic without the support of his fellow Catholics will eventually fall out from the faith, especially when he undergoes the trials and challenges of life, the influence of secularism, and the materialistic, individualistic and atheistic views of the world. Fourthly, to grow our faith, we need to evangelise and be a witness to Christ. We evangelise ourselves by evangelising others. By sharing our faith with others, we strengthen our own faith. By teaching our faith to others, we grow in understanding and clarity in what we believe in. Finally, growing in faith is to grow in our Christian life. This is the most effective form of witnessing. It means that those of us who are baptised must live a life of holiness and purity, free from sin and a bad conscience. A life of holiness and charity are the fruits of a strong spiritual life and a life of hope founded in the promises of God. If the Catholic Church is accused of being satanic, that is no more than its Founder, Jesus Christ, was accused of. When our Lord was on earth, he had the same problem. He was driving demons out, and some said he was doing this by the power of the devil. How did Jesus respond? He said, “How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand; that is the end of him” (Mk 3:23-26). The Catholic Church drives out the devil, too. This practice is called exorcism. No one can deny that the Catholic Church has been doing exorcisms on people and driving out Satan for nearly two millennia. Therefore, we must reason like Jesus: If the Catholic Church were from the devil, it could not drive the devil out. We shouldn’t be surprised when such charges are made against the Catholic Church. Jesus told us, “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master; it is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household” (Mt 10:24-25). Weak Catholics become protestants Strong Protestants become Catholics,

I heard that Pope Leo 2nd or 3rd had something to do with this cross in the 17th century. I think he was bitten by a snake and lived in a time that you didn't survive snake bites at all.
