As someone who has listened to the toast since it was the breath and been a patreon member since 2018 (yes I just went and checked), I think this is my last straw. I have stuck with you girls through your cancellations and everything but I just cannot put up with the privileged behavior that you all have been displaying and promoting lately. All their opinions are coming from a conservative place (that is often misinformed/conspiratorial). It’s no longer a fun pop culture pod cast. If they marketed it as a pop culture podcast from right wing girls then I think people would know what they’re getting into. Otherwise it’s kind of dangerous to have such a public platform that doesn’t fact check and whose opinions and vocabulary are dated. This is such a divisive time and their attitudes are often so negative of opposing opinions that it alienates the listener. It becomes so hard to relate to them and sympathize with them. They are close minded, that is the hardest part to get past.

Regarding politics, the inauguration, and judaism; because it’s the elephant in the room. Ive been a toaster for years, (since live breath days)and posted about Oct 7th immediately when it happened and continued to after. And have talked about Israel’s right to exist, and tried to have hard conversations with people because the horrors of October 7th deeply disturb me, as does any antisemitism. I’m not a Trump supporter, and his policies scare me, and I worry about the people they affect in the U.S. (I’m Canadian). And Musk nazi salute scared and horrified me, I know he has been a supporter of Israel, but he has far right views I don’t agree with, and someone who is so power hungry doing that salute (a message of deep hatred) disgusted and horrified me. However I am not Jewish, and while I support the Jewish community around the world, I think Musk is the wrong front man, I think he will turn on Jews and I’m scared for them. I know you don’t see what others do because of all his support but I think that is his agenda. And I feel bad that the Jewish community is largely standing by him, that someone you trusted who supported Israel did this so publicly and full of so much glee. It scares me, it’s scares me for women, for immigrants, for gay people, for Jewish people. I think anyone who does that should be arrested, I don’t think he’s awkward, I think he thinks he’s above the law (of public opinion and otherwise) and I’m afraid you do as well. It’s one of the most disgusting displays of hatred, and while I viewed the edited toast episode, I hope you didn’t tell people what to think, but whoever does that salute is wrong, if you want the same grace from your followers I think you should try to understand each other.

Wipes are horrible for the pipes and the environment. Even “flushable” wipes aren’t actually flushable. I’m not even trying to come from the side as an environmentalists. I’m coming from the side of the poor people who have to work in sewer maintenance. Tampons and wipes are not suppose to ever be flushed and damage water treatment facilities because they don’t actually break down. My husband is the president of our HOA in our high-rise building and he says it gets clogged all the time because of those “flushable” wipes. It’s horrible and I feel so bad for the people who have to clear it out in the city. Bidets are king. It’s not even toilet water. It’s like faucet water and the cleanest thing to do for your tush. Super easy to get cheap ones installed too. Japan knows what’s up with bidets. I love mine.
