Why so much hate for autotune? The autotune isn't there to cover up their inability to sing. They can clearly sing well. Realize that the autotune is a tool here. Its being used to achieve a unique sound that is truly enjoyable if you just relax and listen to the song for what it is.

Just a reminder that there's difference between 'autotune' as vocal effect used in a live performance (ie. this) and pitch correction done in a studio.

People said the same stuff about Roger Troutman, Peter Frampton, and even Daft Punk, yet they are pioneers of the music industry. Well, maybe less so Frampton, but "Frampton Comes Alive!" is in every used record store in America.

Right, saying the song is bad because the use of auto tune would be like saying classic rock sucks because they use electric guitars. The voice is an instrument and auto tune just makes it sounds a little different- it’s not inherently bad. It’s ok if someone doesn’t like it but other people do.
