Wow, thank you. Yes it is important to receive that confirmation because it helps us to relax into what we’re doing! You it’s interesting that most massage therapist lack that reinforcement to believe in themselves. Yet when a client comes in they are just grateful & happy to be getting worked on! We’ve all been there. Remember your intent can be felt so as long as you have good intentions you’re doing a good job!!!

You just brought tears to my eyes Amela. I started this KZbin channel 2 1/2 years ago with the hope to bless all students! Several people have suggested I open up a Patreon yet I haven’t been able to bring myself to do it because I was once a struggling single mom that could not afford much. I know what it feels like to be excluded because you’re barely able to pay the bills. I don’t want anyone to ever feel like that. Patreon ties you up to a monthly subscription or something like that. I might look into something else called Kofi I think. Because people can donate any amount without an exclusion to anyone. You are very kind Amela & I know you see the work & effort this takes. That alone fills my heart with gratitude & love for you & anyone that benefits from this channel ❤️🤗

Hello there I’m so glad you keep posting videos I have a question I’ve as you know I’ve been a therapist for 16 years how do you or do you ever have the feeling that when you massage a full body do you ever think you massage like a fast pace and if you do if not can you give me some tips how to slow down like the pace even though I feel like it but I don’t know if that makes sense I hope you answer this love your stuff
@MassageTherapeutics9152 жыл бұрын
First congratulations on being a therapist for 16yrs! Yes full body massages is not my favorite thing to do. I loose concentration sometimes & sometimes it does feel rushed. I find that slow music sets the pace. I set up music that has a good pace & when I feel I’m rushing (or bored!) I focus on the music to set my pace. Chewing gum also helps me to keep focused in the “Now” so it’s not so bad. Staying hydrated & getting enough rest is important. I found that when I’m really tired I rush through it. I hope this is helpful and that you find something that works for you! ❤️🤗

@MassageTherapeutics9152 жыл бұрын
I would always have a client check with their doctor first in case they are high risk otherwise it would be ok. Some therapist don’t recommend a massage in the first trimester. It sometimes can make morning sickness a little worse. I think it’s up to how the client feels & what the doctor says.

@@mistamew6642 oh that’s great that you are looking into it. Every state has different requirements. Most states do require a 500 hour program & state exam at the end to become certified. You can look in your area to see if there’s any massage schools near you. Most programs are about a year long. Acupuncture school is longer. Around 3 years.
