Good point, about the fact that you can take them off quickly and unload the resistance. I've been skeptical of parachute sprints myself but looks like it's worth testing out. Thanks for sharing man

It works u won’t realize until you do it consistently for an extended period of time. You will notice the improvement once race against others

I never used a parachute. My coach took the large polevault pads, hooked them to a harness. I had to drag those across the infield for sprints. We also did sweat pulls indoor. For a mid distance runner, I could run high 10s in a 100m. Definitely an edge in races.

What are sweat pulls?
@dleyba49452 ай бұрын
@@Vic-vf5tm After some time the school had an excess of sweats for the track uniforms. In a hall or a gym, you partner up and grab a pair of sweats. One person stands on the tops of the sweats and squats down. Then hold onto both legs of the pants when it is wrapped around the other person as they sprint.

Which did you think is better? Hill sprints or sled sprints.

sled sprints are much better for avoiding injury. hill sprints are good but have a moderately high risk of injury. hope this comment helped you a year later

@stoplurkingho9101 a bit late, but why is there a higher risk of injury compared to a sled

Is this better than a weight vest? And which is better for hill sprints a weight vest hill sprints and a parachute hill sprints.
@Brotherfaris8 ай бұрын
Weight vest can be good but I think the resistance from behind that you get with the parachute is optimal. As for hill sprints you cant go wrong with either
@keithbacchus18408 ай бұрын
@@Brotherfaris thanks I recently ran one 100m sprint rested 10 minutes then I ran in a 2.8kg/ 6 pound weight vest 60m then ran one 60m without the vest 10 minutes later and pulled my left hamstring. I don't think it's a natural moment sprinting with a weight on your upper body. I also did hill sprints 2 days before I got the injury. Not sure what caused it. If needed longer rest between the 2 workouts or if it was the vest making me overstride to deal with the weight it did feel awkward a bit. I felt a slight twitch after running with the vest I should of stopped there and then it was my body giving a warning. Well you live and learn.
