Mam, I started this practice at the age of 25. Daily 27 counts in the morning after bath as per one of my senior's advice at office. Now i at the age of 55 still continuing and realise good health.

Every Ganesha Chathurthi I remember the combo treatment i used to get in high school. The teacher used to make me do Uthak baithak (also called as baski or situps) for every situp i did i got one whack with the cane on my bum whenever my bum came down.

Dear Ramya, Teenage girls ,young children or women anybody can do this exercise and in no way it will cause any trouble,only of specifically advised it should be avoided.Exercise will only help in strengthening of muscles and will not cause weakness at any point.
